Best Third Eye Blind Songs
Best song of the '90s in my humble opinion!
While it has an awesome, cheerful rhythm and sound, the lyrics are rather serious since it's about methamphetamine addiction. I love how he pinpoints addiction without choosing pseudo-profound lyrics.
"I want something else to get me through this semi-charmed kind of life" is simple while saying everything there is to say.
This song is just amazing. There are few that compare to it, and its meaning is also awesome.
I have loved this song since I was a kid.
To me, this is one of the best-written portrayals of a foreseen breakup. The song builds perfectly as the doubt turns to certainty. The final climax, where the soft dive of oblivion turns to just... oblivion, gives me chills every time. Such an amazing song.
To me, this is one of the best-written portrayals of a foreseen breakup. The song builds perfectly as the doubt turns into certainty. The climax of Oblivion gives me chills every time I hear it. I can't believe this isn't even in the top 35 songs on here...
Although I wasn't surprised Semi-Charmed Life is number 1, this song is definitely first on my list. It's one of those songs where the passion is just overflowing throughout the song, and it really speaks to the listener on a personal level. Honestly, I can't stop listening to this song!
This song is so incredible. The meaning is very subjective. I think we can all relate to it! I listen to this song constantly and think it's their best song.
This song makes me think of my past life and the good memories of it.
Amazing. The beat is excellent. Why is it ranked so low?
Anyone who has heard this song voted for it. By far their best. Simply raw emotion. This song is where it's at simply because of a lack of knowledge from most voters as to what the songs other than the main hits even sound like. Give this song a listen. You won't regret it.
This is literally the perfect song and has changed my, and I'm sure many others', lives. It encapsulates Jenkins as a person and TEB as a band. A true masterpiece.
Just seeing the title of this song brings back the memory of the feelings it evokes, and it gives me chills.
"Have you ever felt like your life was in high gear, and you were right in the moment, and you were happy, and rolling into some glorious unknown future? And then have that all taken away? And then lived in sort of the post-period of that high? That's what it's like to live in the background."
Quote from 3EB singer Stephan Jenkins.
One of my favorite songs of all time. This song hits me hard and is beautiful and powerful.
This reminds me of somebody that I used to be with. This is such a beautiful song.
Brings back nostalgia and warm and fuzzies like few other songs can!
I love this. The lyrics mean a lot to me.
Just epic. It calms me down instantly.
Perfect song. That's it. Perfection.
Third Eye Blind at their best right here. This was the song that made me love them. I expected this to be at least top three.
Woah, what the hell... This song is dope. Love it to its words... Deserves to be much higher.
This song is painfully beautiful. It should be in the top 5.
This song has the best guitar riffs by far, and if you don't find it catchy, there is something wrong with you! It's great.
The rawest song I've heard by an alternative band. It should shock some people who really listen to the lyrics. Backed by a beautiful mix of guitar, piano, and bass.
Such a powerful song. Don't know if it's their best, but it's certainly my favorite.
Third Eye Blind's best in my opinion. Moody, downbeat, upbeat, great lyrics. My #1.
Stephan Jenkins was quoted saying he believes this was the band's best song (at the time, only the first two albums were released). I agree with him because, to me, the lyrics are just that powerful. Everybody has slightly different interpretations, but I think he's saying, in a dark twisted way, that being the one to help this girl overcome her abuse turns him on ("My fingers catch the sparks at the thought of touching you while you're wounded").
While I think the (much more common) topics covered in "Semi-Charmed Life" and "Jumper" are executed better, I just can't imagine another song somehow touching on abuse and lust like "Wounded" does. It's just that unique. #1 to me.
This is the band's greatest song. The lyrics combined with the musical prowess of the band, it's too powerful. The sound in this one is glory, people.
Why is this song so far down? It is amazing!
Such an underrated track with a fantastic groove. Give this track some love, please.
Come on, people. This should be in the top 5 at least.
Their best song by far. Also, how is Graduate #17?
One of the best songs I've ever heard. It's second on my most played list.
This is their best song by far. Come on, the line "and we laughed in the night and I felt alright" is the best line ever. An all-around great song for Third Eye Blind. Thank you.
Beautiful lyrics that are beautifully sung with music that matches the feel of the song. Definitely in my top ten.
