Best Headphones Brands

The Top Ten
Sennheiser

Sennheiser, honestly without a doubt, has the best sound quality for the best price. They are completely better than Dr. Dre Beats. My $70 Sennheiser HD 429s have much more quality than the Beats Executive. Trust me, one of my friends who has the Executives said he would rather have the Sennheisers.

The sound is the clearest you can get and has amazing, warm, crisp bass. But if you're looking for a little more powerful bass on your headphones, don't worry - just download an equalizer, and that can be easily fixed.

No doubt, it is a real German brand. In India, its range starts from $12 to $45k. The brand offers a unique and decent sound quality with a great balance between treble and bass.

No fake bass like Beats, Sony, Bose, Skullcandy, etc.

Audio-Technica

I have one, and I know how it feels to put it on. Amazing!

Nice sound quality at an affordable price.

Bose

Yeah, they do wear out after a couple of years, but Bose headphones are just outstanding! Perfect bass, god-tier noise-cancellation, and very comfortable.

What are Beats doing on this list?! They're easily breakable (mine broke after 10 months), and people just buy them to look fashionable.

Amazing noise-canceling with okay sound quality compared to other noise-canceling headphones.

Beats? They break after a month. Bose, however, lasts for years.

Beyerdynamic

Best headphones for monitoring and editing audio.

Sony has great sound and build quality - you can't go wrong with their high-end models.

I have MDR-ZX310 headphones, and they are amazing. I love them! Sony is a sound god!

JBL

Seriously? Why isn't this higher up? Tell me one other headphone brand that has spent around 30 years perfecting its bass output. I will admit that they aren't the only headphones with great bass, but they offer it at a great price range and for every budget.

I have JBL T450 BTs, and I use them for everything. I'm actually listening to music right now with them connected to my iPad. JBL rules.

Why is this not ranked higher? They make good sound quality.

Beats by Dre

Beats, number 7? They should be number one. If you actually coughed up the money, you would agree. I have the Studio 2 and the Solo 2 Wireless, and I couldn't be happier.

I've got to tell you, I'm a fan of Beats. I wish I had all the Beats collections. All I have are the old Beats: Beats Studio, Pill, and iBeats. My friends tell me that Bose is the best, but I don't think so. I enjoy Beats.

Skullcandy

These headphones are great for skateboarding and other active activities.

Just the best sound for the best price! They are much better than Beats by Dr. Dre!

Best headphones I've ever listened to. Love them!

Monster
Bang & Olufsen

Come on, guys. Bang & Olufsen is awesome! Much better than Beats by Dr. Dre and Bose. Not better than Sennheiser or Skullcandy, though - they're too good. But B&O is awesome.

I think this should be second. It's so awesome!

AKG

I love the sound characteristics of AKG. The bass and highs are not too much, and the mids are awesome. However, design and comfort could be a bit better.

Marshall
Koss

I've had Koss headphones for as long as I can remember being interested in music. They are so defined and just amazing.

The bass is crystal clear with Koss headphones.

Hifiman

Hifiman makes some of the best headphones in the world. They are pioneers of planar magnetic technology in headphones. From the entry-level HE400s to the second-best headphones in the world, the Shangri-La electrostatic system ($50,000), Hifiman delivers incredible sound quality despite a few quality control issues.
