3 Syd Barrett
Roger Keith Barrett was an English musician, composer, singer, songwriter, and painter. Best known as a founder member of the band Pink Floyd, Barrett was the lead singer, guitarist and principal songwriter in its early years and is credited with naming the band. Since most of what is known about Barrett (beyond the most literal parts of his music career) comes from his bandmates recollecting 20+ years in the past and his sister, who doesn't often go out of her way to be put in the spotlight, there is a lot of vagueness and even contradictions around him.
Something notable, though rarely discussed, is the abandoned sessions for a third solo album (one seemingly more R&B-focused) recorded in 1974. Bootlegs of these sessions are available.
