Top 10 Best Songs in the Billboard Decade End Hot 100 of the 2010s

The 2010s have been crazy and diverse years, with a wide range of popular songs.

But which of the most popular songs are the best?

The Top Ten
  1. Someone Like You - Adele

It's obvious why there are three songs in a row from Adele. She's the greatest singer of all time! Yes, her songs can be slow, but her voice is amazing and deserves to be number one. She is also a very pretty girl and has some of the greatest songs in the history of the world. Someone Like You is only one of them. I don't even have a favorite song from her.

Adele has been one of the most inspirational singers of the decade, and one of the best. She deserves all the praise she gets. In this instance, she made one of her most personal and emotional ballads, very well produced (the piano is amazing).

  2. See You Again - Wiz Khalifa

Another very emotional song, probably the most emotional here, and probably the most touching topic on the list, the death of a loved one. While there are some amazing rivals, this is my pick for Number 1.

  3. Love the Way You Lie - Eminem

An amazing song which does an amazing job at representing toxic relationships, great rapping by Eminem, and singing by Rihanna, very emotional and one of the best of the decade.

  4. Rolling in the Deep - Adele

Adele, the only artist to have two songs here (original draft). Here she has one of her most epic songs, a very personal one, too, where she really showcases her vocal talent.

  5. Some Nights - Fun.

Now this song is amazing, it's one of the best examples of Pop done right, anthemic and yet really meaningful, even using autotune to its advantage. Sad this group was short-lived.

  6. Perfect - Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran, a divisive figure in pop music, and personally he's a hit or miss. This song is one of his most hated ones, but I honestly love it. It's a very touching and personal tune, one of Sheeran's best.

  7. Somebody That I Used to Know - Gotye

Surprising hit, many people have praised it, and for good reason. Some of the best storytelling in pop music, showing both sides of the conflict in hand, whilst also being a catchy and well-produced tune. Sad that Gotye couldn't really match this.

  8. Hello - Adele

  9. Heathens - Twenty One Pilots

  10. Wake Me Up - Avicii

It's really surprising how well Avicii manages to meld soul and country into an EDM song. Aloe Blacc was great on this. A side note: this is the only song on the decade-end 100 that did not peak in the top three. Others that came close include I Like It, DJ Got Us Falling in Love, Starships, and What Makes You Beautiful.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Dynamite - Taio Cruz

  13. ?

    In My Feelings - Drake

  14. The Contenders
  15. Wrecking Ball - Miley Cyrus

Whilst I wasn't a huge fan of those Miley years, this amazing ballad is produced incredibly, the lyrics are touching and meaningful, and her voice is nice.

  16. Royals - Lorde

This song was super honest and aware of the problems with modern radio. Unfortunately, it seems to have resulted in just a reincarnation of bad radio music: slower, but no integrity. Still, I feel this song deserves the spot.

  17. Need You Now - Lady Antebellum

I'm glad this was the highest ranked country song.

  18. Don't Let Me Down - The Chainsmokers

  19. Take Me to Church - Hozier

  20. Rude - Magic!

  21. Bad Guy - Billie Eilish

  22. Girls Like You - Maroon 5

  23. Sucker - Jonas Brothers

  24. Happy - Pharrell Williams

  25. Stay with Me - Sam Smith

  26. Grenade - Bruno Mars

  27. Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson

Bruno Mars has had a bunch of pretty good hits this decade, but I think many agree that this is the best one (even the list itself, since it's Number 1 on it). With amazing production, this catchy dance hit is an amazing throwback song and deserves that Number 1 spot.

  28. Without Me - Halsey

  29. Radioactive - Imagine Dragons
