Top 10 Songs From Tool's Fear Inoculum

1. 7empest

   

   The most diverse of all the songs, as it's the longest. You hear fast power chords reminiscent of Undertow, screeching guitar feedback like Ænima, bouncing basslines from Lateralus, and long drum solos similar to 10,000 Days. Both the layered, weaving soft vocals and the aggressive vocals are familiar to Maynard's work in A Perfect Circle.

   This song, similar to Third Eye, is a perfect album closer. It encapsulates Tool's sound beautifully.

   After three listens to the album, this is my current ranking:

   Even my "least favorite" songs are still great. This is one hell of an album!

   This song is amazing. The drumming is crazy, and those guitar riffs are beautiful! Definitely the album's high point for me. One breath, one word.

   Love this song. The drumming is crazy.
