Top 10 Best Stone Temple Pilots Songs
Stone Temple Pilots, often abbreviated as STP, are an American rock band that made waves in the music world in the early 1990s. They were part of the grunge movement that originated in Seattle, but they hailed from San Diego. With a unique blend of grunge, alternative rock, and hard rock, their sound is distinctive, edgy, and full of raw emotion. With Scott Weiland's dynamic vocals, Dean DeLeo's masterful guitar work, Robert DeLeo's strong bass lines, and Eric Kretz's powerful drums, each song is a journey, an adventure into the heart of rock music. STP’s discography is a rich tapestry of music, from heavy, intense tracks to soulful, melodic tunes.
THIS SONG. The greatest grunge song ever. It's a perfect blend of what makes the genre great. From its mysterious lyrics to its addicting riff, to Scott Weiland's incredible voice, this song is perfect.
I cannot get tired of explaining to my older brothers how amazing this song has been for me since decades ago.
A great rhythm-driven '90s rock song. Surely gets my pick for favorite.
Whenever I hear this song, I instantly want to hop in my car and drive on the highway!
I have this song on Rock Band 4, and it's a really good song. It is easy to play on guitar on expert, but it is a fun one to play.
Definitely their second best, right behind Plush for me.
"Too much walking, shoes worn thin.
Too much trippin' and my soul's worn thin."
One of the greatest plays on words in rock music, and the line that perfectly describes Scott Weiland's personal struggles.
I've known this song for a long time, and still love it. How isn't it in the top 3?
It's either this or Interstate Love Song.
Easily their best song. Not just my favorite song by them, but my favorite out of all bands.
Think you're kinda neat, then she tells me I'm a creep.
Amazing song, their best by far!
This is an amazing song. I just keep the rhythm inside my head.
Love the beat in this song. I had no idea that this was an anti-rape song until doing some reading. Scott Weiland wrote this song after an old girlfriend was raped at a party by three football players. Scott looks so different in the music video. It hardly looks like him when compared to how he usually looks.
These are my favorite songs from STP.
Love the way the riff stumbles like a drunkard.
This song has a groove that a lot of STP songs have, but this one does it better than all of their other songs.
This is my favorite STP song for sure.
Not necessarily their most impressive song from a technical standpoint, but it embodies everything that makes rock (and STP) so great. Absolutely love this song.
Just love this one. But I do agree with the comment saying it's not as good as Big Empty.
Absolutely needs to be higher! Top 5 at least! Clearly one of their best.
Number 9? That is absolutely ridiculous.
Should be at least top 10, maybe even top 5.
The song jumps right into it. Love it.
Love the tune and the beat of this song.
This is such a beautiful song! It should be in the top 10 for sure.
Absolutely beautiful song. One of those timeless pieces that could have been either written 50 years ago or last week. It won't get old, yet it seems like it has always been there once you've discovered it.
The shame of it is that half of you on here just hitting for hits probably never even heard this song. Easily STP at their best.
How can anybody not like this song?
How is this not in the top 10? More like top 5.
The best on Shangri-La Dee Da, which is a very underrated album in my opinion. My favorite after Purple.
This is prime STP. How can all of you be forgetting about it? It captures everything the band was.
"Piece of Pie" and "Sin" capture the essence of STP.
Wow. This is shocking. How is this not higher?! This song is amazing.
Needs to be in the top 10 for sure. Such an amazing song to listen to.
This is such a beautiful and underrated song.
Actually, this song should be number one! It's their best by far!
Such an amazing and catchy riff. The symphonic elements certainly make it feel more epic as well. The hidden track at the end is actually really good too.
