Top 10 Best Bloc Party Songs
Bloc Party's music is a captivating concoction of energetic riffs, powerful lyrics, and melodies that stick with you long after the song has ended. Their music has crossed oceans and won hearts, offering solace to some and energizing others, allowing them to dance through the night. You probably remember the first time you heard them, the song that made you a fan, the tunes that have been your companion through various phases of life, be it moments of joy, sorrow, love, or loss. The best guitar riff Bloc Party has ever written, along with the weirdest lyrics to go with it. Great song, number 1 easily. Banquet is 2nd.
This song kicks ass! My top Bloc Party songs would be (in no order): Helicopter, Flux, So Here We Are, Banquet, Skeleton, and This Modern Love.
Matt Tong is the most underrated drummer ever.
This song is just the meaning of cool. The song builds and builds and leaves you with the same great lasting impression, even if you're hearing it for the hundredth time.
This song is ridiculously catchy. I'm addicted to it.
I don't think I even need to explain.
I heard it first on How I Met Your Mother and have been hooked ever since. Everything about this song is perfect: the guitar riffs, the drums, and finally, the message this song conveys to the listeners. It should be number 1 without a doubt.
It's about someone who loves another person but doesn't want them to know because they realize that nothing's going to come from it. This modern love wastes me!
Heard this on How I Met Your Mother and loved it. The chorus gives me chills every single time without fail. Possibly the best song by Bloc Party.
Crazy guitar effects, drumming insanity, and perfection of bass timing. All kept in a subtle tone. This song is number 1 on my list of all-time songs.
Listened to this on repeat for 2 hours during a commute from London to Wales. Still haven't grown tired of it. Silent Alarm is a fantastic album.
Awesome song for working out to, as it's really uplifting and probably has the best drumming I have ever heard.
Again, another song like The Prayer, but in my opinion, they managed to make this song raw while also keeping that guitar sound from many tracks off Silent Alarm.
Although A Weekend in the City wasn't as good compared to Silent Alarm, it's still a damn good song and pretty catchy.
Epic guitar and beat. So catchy!
This song is interesting in how it's slow in parts and fast in others, but on the whole, it's a very relaxing song with very clear lyrics and a memorable melody.
Love the breathing and panting at the start. The frantic background riff going on throughout the song is a plus.
Strangely, I didn't like it at first. It has grown on me to be my favorite after Helicopter.
It's a damn shame that it ranks 28th. It should be at least top ten.
I love how Flux is an interesting take on a slight variation of their tunes by somewhat mixing dance and indie. Also, great lyrics in the chorus and a fun music video.
Another one like Sunday. The melody just gets under your skin and makes you feel nostalgic for something you can't quite make out.
My most beloved song. Someone once said that Kele is one of the most outstanding poets of our century - absolutely true for me. Every line of this song means a lot. Most of all, I like the line, "If I could do it again, I'd make more mistakes, I'd climb more trees, I'd eat and pick more wild blackberries." Pure masterpiece. Magical music completes this song and makes it perfect. I wish I could hear it live someday.
Simply because the riff that plays at the start stays true throughout the whole song and probably has the most memorable chorus out of them all.
Again, another one of Bloc Party's songs that starts great and retains that greatness throughout. Also, the best intro to a song ever.
Awesome song, and so is the remix version.
I think Bloc Party really showed their raw creative side with this song but still kept true to their roots, seamlessly making the whole song flow.
Such an underrated song. The chorus is fantastic, as is the intro.
This was the first Bloc Party song I heard. It was in NHL 2K8.
My favorite because it's got a great melody, bass, everything. Although I like Bloc Party's newer stuff, I love how this song represents their roots. It's like a throwback to bands like Sum 41 and Blink 182. I love how the guitar is prominent with that distinctive riff, which remains in the chorus and even in the build-up and end.
Represents the soul of Bloc Party: nice short riffs, dance, power song.
There's so much grace in this song. The intro is also magnificent. I'm just surprised this song isn't in the top 10!
I think this is the most beautiful song off Silent Alarm. So underrated.
Amazing intro, some weird but cool lyrics. Nice song to replay.
Glorious guitar rhythms coupled with fun, energizing drum patterns. That's already enough to get me hooked.
Does anyone know what album this is on? It's by far my favorite and isn't even on iTunes!
This song really makes you feel things. The melody gives such a somber yet good feeling.
