The Gallagher brothers infamously feuded for nearly two decades, following creative differences and Liam's deteriorating voice in the late 2000s. After both embarked on solo careers, releasing different music from one another, the two reunited in 2024 and in 2025 performed together in live shows. No new music has been released, although you never know for sure.

After Tom DeLonge's second departure, the group had vocalist Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio take over as their singer and released two albums, California and Nine, the first one being okay, and the second one beyond horrendous.
Then in 2022, it was revealed that DeLonge would be returning to the band, and they released One More Time, which is honestly overhated, and the mixing isn't as bad as people make it out to be in my opinion.

Their 2016 self-titled album was originally intended to be their last, and the group was dormant from 2017 to 2022. However, in 2023, they released an EP called Childhood Eyes and then, two years later, released Better Days, a pretty decent comeback album featuring Matt Skiba and Avril Lavigne.

After One More Light and Chester Bennington's tragic passing, the group seemed to mostly be done, releasing a few demo tracks from their early albums while Mike focused more on a solo career. However, this changed with the release of From Zero, featuring new singer Emily Armstrong and new drummer Colin Brittain. In my opinion, Armstrong's a solid singer who gets too much undeserved flak, and Two Faced is an absolute banger. I also thought The Emptiness Machine was solid and loved a few of the bonus tracks, namely Let You Fade and Unshatter.

After a few reunion shows with original vocalist Adam Gontier, the group announced that they were working on a new album, with both Adam and Matt sharing vocal duties. This culminated in the release of Alienation, a strong contender for one of their best albums, to be honest, due to Adam and Matt's vocal chemistry.
