Top 10 Best Stop Motion TV Shows of All Time

Stop motion animation is a unique form of storytelling that has captured the hearts and imaginations of viewers for decades. From classic children's programs to adult-oriented dramas, stop motion TV shows have earned a special place in the world of animation and entertainment.

Stop motion animation involves physically manipulating real-world objects and filming them one frame at a time, creating the illusion of movement when played back at a regular speed. This technique allows for incredible attention to detail and a level of realism that is difficult to achieve through other forms of animation.

Over the years, stop motion TV shows have produced some of the most beloved and memorable characters and storylines in television history. From classic programs like Gumby and Wallace and Gromit to more recent hits like Shaun the Sheep and Robot Chicken, stop motion animation continues to captivate audiences of all ages.

In this top ten list, let's take a look at the best stop motion TV shows of all time, from the pioneering classics to the modern masterpieces.
The Top Ten
1 Robot Chicken Robot Chicken is an American stop motion sketch comedy television series, created and executive produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich along with co-head writers Douglas Goldstein and Tom Root for Adult Swim.

Yes, predictably Robot Chicken is not only one that most people have at least heard of, but it also one of the best shows on Adult Swim still on today. Seth Green has a thing for its long lasting appeal that may match other adult primetime shows to come.

Its skits are a big guilty pleasure of mine.

I watched this ever since it first came and after so many years it still hasn't lost its hilarity

2 Wallace & Gromit Wallace and Gromit is a American-British clay animation comedy series created by Nick Park of Aardman Animations.

I can't believe I forgot this show actually was a T.V. show, yeah this definitely deserves to be in the top 5 the definition of stop motion animation.

3 Pingu Pingu is the main character of the TV show of the same name and Pingu in the City. He was created by Swiss filmmaker Otmar Gutmann in 1986.
4 Celebrity Deathmatch

A true golden era cartoon by MTV that hit hard with its fans back when it was still had fans left before nowadays nobody cares about the channel it did have two shows of quality left. Celebrity Deathmatch was the last great cartoon to come out of that Sushi tree that was an excellent choice to have as its own show. Many fans wanna see it return once again, but nothing is known for sure if that will take place in the near future.

I love this show nothing like watching celebrities beating each other up to the death.

5 Bob the Builder Bob the Builder is a British children's animated television show created by Keith Chapman. In the original series, Bob appears in a stop motion animated programme as a building contractor, specialising in masonry, along with his colleague Wendy, various neighbours and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphised... read more

I know what you're thinking what is a children's show aimed for that 1-5 range. You can't help, but realize when you see joke memes of this Bob sticks out in you're mind like it or not.

My childhood show, and I still love it!

6 Shaun the Sheep Shaun the Sheep is a British stop-motion animated television series, a spin-off of the Wallace and Gromit franchise.

Once Wallace and Gromit experience had ended... shortly afterwards they came up with an idea to have a show about a sheep, and you could tell it had that britishness to it.

7 Action League Now!

Pretty weird, and off the wall compared to most of the shows on this list, but still a solid show that spawned from KaBlam, and the first one I ever saw of this animation style.

8 The PJs The PJs is an American stop-motion animated black sitcom, created by Eddie Murphy, Larry Wilmore, and Steve Tompkins.

If you remember right when the late 90's had a ton of so so shows that debuted well PJs was actually a heavily underrated show that ended up getting picked up reruns from Adult Swim, and realized how forgotten the series was sure it was not that bad since it was overshadowed by King of the Hill. Probably one of the last Eddie Murphy works that was still top notch.

9 Titan Maximum

It was only on for 9 episodes, but in that came a show that maybe could of been given another season at least because I initially thought it would suck, but I was wrong for something he tried to leaning a little ''Aniclay'' if you will type of approach.

10 The Moomins (1977) The Moomins is a stop motion animated children's television series based on the Tove Jansson's Moomin series of books which was produced by Se-ma-for and Jupiter Film between 1977 and 1982 for Polish, Austrian and German television.

This version of the Moomins was made in Europe, and it was the only one that was in this claymation style one of the earliest to be noticed. While I never really had interest in myself... it has a cult following with the fans.

The Contenders
11 Thomas & Friends Thomas & Friends is a British children's television series. In the United Kingdom, it had its first broadcast on the ITV network in Great Britain in 1984.

A well thought, pleasant show for both kids and adults. This was my childhood.

An instant classic with fun adventures and new things every episode.

12 Gumby
13 Roary the Racing Car
14 Lunar Jim
15 Moral Orel Moral Orel is an American adult stop-motion animated television show, which originally aired on Adult Swim from December 13, 2005 to December 18, 2008. It has been described as "Davey and Goliath...meets South Park".
16 Angry Kid

Granted its not that long of a series with the duration maximum of a minute. It does create nightmare fuel based on the main characters appearance unintentional... perhaps, but this show has been surfaced from different platforms from BBC, MTV, and even YouTube. It lasted a long time at least.

17 Igam Ogam
18 Quaq Quao
19 Bump in the Night
20 Postman Pat Postman Pat is a British stop-motion animated children's television series that debuted in 1981. The show follows Pat Clifton, a postal worker in the fictional village of Greendale, as he goes about his daily duties and interacts with the community.
