Top 10 Characters from Popular Movie Franchises Who Should Get Their Own Movie

The Top Ten
1 Lord Voldemort (Harry Potter) Lord Voldemort is a fictional character and the central main antagonist in J. K. Rowling's series of Harry Potter novels. Voldemort first appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which was released in 1997.

This is a character who wanted to kill a infant because he would challenge him. He is pure evil, he is despicable and great to watch. However, the potential depth of the actual character that could be explored a lot more.

One aspect that the 'Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince' movie skimped on was Lord Voldemort's backstory, which is a shame as it was probably the most interesting part of the book.

His backstory was done dirty in the Half Blood Prince film. On another hand, that would make a movie about him less redundant so in that case, it could be a win win situation

2 Black Widow (Marvel Cinematic Universe) Natalia Alianovna Romanova, most known as Natasha Romanoff or the Black Widow, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is one of the most talented spies and assassins in the entire world and is a founding member of the Avengers. The character was created by Stan Lee, Jae Lee, Don Heck, Paul Jenkins, and Don Rico, and was portrayed by Scarlett Johansson... read more

This character is so great. In the MCU, her popularity is and still is rising. A solo film for this character with SHIELD and exploring more of her depth could make for a great MCU movie.

Come on, Marvel, she's badass! Why, oh, God, why hasn't she got her own movie? She's the best! Mysterious, secretive, smart, independent... blah blah, the list goes on. Point is, Marvel's missing one movie" the most important of them all

Black Widow is one of the Avengers, and has been in the MCU since the beginning. If all the other Avengers(minus Hawkeye) get a solo movie, why shouldn't she have one too?

3 Cyclops (X-Men) Cyclops is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics and is a founding member of the X-Men.

One of those origins movies killed them all. A shame because that movie was bad. This is a character I want to see cope with the power he has and how his relationship with Jean helped him through it and how Xavier helped it.

4 Boba Fett (Star Wars) Boba Fett is a fictional character in the Star Wars series. In The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, he is a bounty hunter hired by Darth Vader and also employed by Jabba the Hutt.

This character is not a character. He's just a big dumb model who contributes nothing in the original trilogy.

He is getting a show in December of 2021.

5 Albus Dumbledore (Harry Potter) Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.

This man seemed to have a complex childhood, as we learn in TDH, and could make for a great movie, and with FB 2 coming out, maybe there will be more depth but personally I would like a movie.

6 Gandalf (The Lord of the Rings) Gandalf the Grey, later known as Gandalf the White, is a fictional character and one of the protagonists in J. R. R. Tolkien's novels The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. He was an Istar, sent by the West in the Third Age to combat the threat of Sauron, as well as leader of the Fellowship of the Ring and the army of the West. He is portrayed by Ian McKellen in the live action movies.

The best movie franchise, and this character needs to get explored. I want to see how his childhood moved along, I want to see how he got interested in magic and helping people and quests as a whole.

7 Dick Grayson (Batman)

Yes he was in them. I want to see how the argument with Batman went, I want to see a proper in depth look at how he got on as Nightwing and therefore could be developed more in movie form.

They made this a joke in Teen Titans Go to the Movies.

8 Salazar Slytherin (Harry Potter)

This is a character who created, for many years a evil house in HP. There was not even a witch or wizard who actually didn't go bad. I want to see why he thought what he thought about mud-bloods as a whole.

9 Loki (Avengers) Loki Laufeyson, or Loki Odinson, is a fictional character appearing in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is the adoptive brother and archenemy of Thor, and is known as the "God of Mischief". In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character has been portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.

One of the most beloved characters in the MCU. I hope we're getting a Loki solo movie soon!

10 Obi-Wan Kenobi (Star Wars) Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe, played by Sir Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor.

Obi wan is a great character but all the important parts of his life are already covered. Who wants to see him in exile, he does literally nothing in that time period.

I feel like his entire life is explained away in the first few movies... maybe a movie about his childhood would make a little sense, but I don't think he really needs his own movie, personally

Lots of Marvel and Lucasfilm characters are getting shows all of a sudden. I can't wait to see this one that revolves around one of the greatest jedis ever!

The Contenders
11 Yoda (Star Wars) Yoda is a fictional character in the Star Wars space opera franchise created by George Lucas, first appearing in the 1980 film The Empire Strikes Back. He is portrayed by Frank Oz.

A character who just fought bad guys in the prequels, made him VERY uninteresting character there. I want to see what happened to his species, how he became a truly legendary Jedi. That would be awesome.

I think he should get his own movies he is one of my favorite star wars character besides Rey.

12 Wicked Witch (The Wizard of Oz)

I want to see, why she is the way she is, this will be tough but if people can put their full writing mind to it just might work, I also want to an actor who truly wants to play the role like Hamilton did.

If your local library has it, check out "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West" by Gregory Maguire. It already inspired a stage musical, maybe it'll be a movie someday, too.

13 Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars) Sheev Palpatine (also known by his Sith identity Darth Sidious and publicly as Senator Palpatine, then Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, and later Emperor Palpatine) is a fictional character and one of the primary antagonists of the Star Wars franchise, mainly portrayed by Ian McDiarmid.
14 Darth Maul (Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace) Darth Maul is a fictional character in the science fiction franchise Star Wars. Trained as Darth Sidious's first apprentice, he serves as a Sith Lord and a master of wielding a double-bladed lightsaber. Darth Maul debuted in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and has made subsequent appearances in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

This is confirmed is going to be made by the same guy who made Logan

15 Sauron (Lord of the Rings) Sauron is the title character and main antagonist of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings. Originally a servant of the first Dark Lord, Morgoth. Morgoth was later defeated and Sauron fled. He later came back to Middle Earth and took over as the new Dark Lord by using a Ring of Power. 17 Jar Jar Binks (Star Wars Prequels)
18 Haymitch Abernathy (The Hunger Games)
19 Severus Snape (Harry Potter) Severus Snape is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. He is characterised as a person of great complexity, whose coldly sarcastic and controlled exterior conceals deep emotions and anguish.

He was an amazing character and actor in the Harry Potter franchise! I would love to see a movie that revolves around his life.

20 Joker (Batman) The Joker is a fictional super villain created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson who first appeared in the debut issue of the comic book Batman (April 25, 1940) published by DC Comics. Credit for the Joker's creation is disputed; Kane and Robinson claimed responsibility for the Joker's design, while acknowledging Finger's writing contribution. Although the Joker was planned to be killed... read more

There was suicide squad... does that count?

25 Bucky Barnes (Marvel Cinematic Universe) James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he is portrayed by Sebastian Stan.

We barely touch the surface in Captain America 2 of Bucky's backstory. Also since he trained Black Widow it could explore the backgrounds of both characters!
