Top 10 Best Video Game Character Fight Matchups

1. Mario (Super Mario) vs Sonic (Sonic the Hedgehog)

   I think Mario because Mario's determination, strength, and willpower are unlike any human being. Given certain circumstances, Mario would easily beat Sonic. This is reliant on his power-ups, power of the elements, and his allies, though, while Sonic doesn't really need anything except his blinding speed.

   This one could go either way depending on one or two factors: is Sonic mach 5 or light speed? (Or somewhere between?) If light speed, there's nothing Mario can do. If mach 5, I can see Mario standing a chance. Both have gone toe-to-toe with cosmic beings. In the end, it's a battle between Mario's immense strength and Sonic's incredible speed. (Just don't trust DEATH BATTLE or the VS Battles Wiki.)

2. Master Chief (Halo) vs Captain Price (Call of Duty)

   It would be cool to see, but most likely we all know that Master Chief would win.

3. Megaman (Mega Man) vs Samus Aran (Metroid)

   Yes! Both have the same arm cannon. Megaman could use his surroundings against Samus while she could use her ball form to dodge! A great match.

   Mega Man and Samus have a variety of ways to beat each other, but I think Samus wins due to probably being more skilled.

4. Cole MacGrath (Infamous) vs Alex Mercer (Prototype)

5. Nathan Drake (Uncharted) vs Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)

6. Duke Nukem (Duke Nukem) vs Serious Sam (Serious Sam)

   It will be very epic if you see two heavy weapon guys shoot each other.

   Serious Sam will win since he has an overpowered cannon and bomb.

7. Jak & Daxter (Jak and Daxter) vs Ratchet & Clank (Ratchet & Clank)

   Both come from an engineering background. While I believe Ratchet has better weapons, it would be really interesting to see what argument people can make over them.

8. Cole Phelps (L.A. Noire) vs Sean Devlin (The Saboteur) vs Vito Scaletta (Mafia II)

   Sean Devlin could easily take out Mario. Does Mario have a silenced Sten or Walther P38?

9. Big Daddy (BioShock) vs Pyramid Head (Silent Hill)

   Two awesome characters from two of the best survival horror games going head to head. One has a big drill while the other has a big sword. Even though they may have two different kinds of weapons, both weapons are huge melee weapons and both characters can be scary as heck to go up against.

10. Siegfried (Soulcalibur) vs Zero (Mega Man X)

    Ness (EarthBound) vs Sans (Undertale)

    Ness, duh. Sans was only a difficult boss because he was good at dodging, but the only thing he was dodging was a little kid with a knife. Ness could use any PSI moves, PK Rockin in particular, and easily bury Sans. If Sans does land a hit or two on Ness, Ness can just use PK Lifeup.

    Ness has a variety of abilities and Sans only needs to be hit once to die. Ness wins.

13. Goku (Dragon Ball) vs Liu Kang (Mortal Kombat)

    It would be awesome. They're both epic characters! Liu Kang beat Reptile who had way more experience than him. And Goku beat Frieza!

    Goku would mess anyone up and has come back from the dead like a thousand times. All I have to say is he could just win.

    I have to say Goku would win this one because of his instant transmission Kamehameha.

14. Spyro (Spyro the Dragon) vs Onaga (Mortal Kombat)

15. Sam Fisher (Splinter Cell) vs James Bond (James Bond)

    Nice to see a pair of detectives. Fighting for the interval. But one is direct where the other is not so much. He is silent.

    Both are essentially spies working for a secret service, NSA and MI6 respectively.
