Top 10 Video Games with the Best Graphics
Any game, any console, any year. Which game has the best-looking graphics during gameplay? Cutscenes are not included.Yeah, I can't even argue for any of the games on this list. Crysis is the most technologically advanced game of its time. Just to play it, you need a graphics card that costs at least four hundred dollars! Not to mention a computer powerful enough to run it. The game is so beautiful that comparing it to any other game is like comparing the graphics in Super Mario World to Pong! Crysis is not only gorgeous but also a really good game, and all the reviewers seem to give it above-average scores. There is no competition here - Crysis is the most graphically advanced game.
MAN! If anyone hasn't played this game and claims other games have "the best" graphics, they are not living, breathing humans! REALLY! THIS game kills ANY other game out there in terms of GRAPHICS!
It's one of the best for the PlayStation. It's not the best-looking graphical game out there. It's a great game, nothing to take away from it, but some games just look better on PC. I wish this had made it to PC. I bet it would be in the top three.
The very best graphics EVER. Shame on you for not ranking it first. Play this game and change the ranking, please.
This game is the most superb, realistic battle game you will ever play. If anyone has missed it, I bet you'll want to get it now!
I am amazed by the Call of Duty programmers for creating such realistic games. I really appreciate their work.
I don't like this one, but the graphics are undeniably good.
Seriously, how is Skyrim not dominating this list? Call of Duty... really? Skyrim was the best game ever when it came to graphics. Just look at the landscape shots.
By far the best game I have played. Call of Duty should not make this list. People don't want to accept that this is one of the best games for graphics there is.
Skyrim is amazing. If you just look at the world map after you kill a dragon, you can see its body burning. That's how much detail they put into it, and the DLCs are awesome.
Nah, this should be the number 1 game for best graphics on consoles. Maybe it's because this is an older game, but imagine if Hideo Kojima created another one. I'm sure every game console would wish they had Metal Gear on them. Haha, PS3 for the win!
Metal Gear Solid has great graphics. The combination of graphics and gameplay makes it an extremely fun game. It has better visuals than many other PS3 games.
In 2008, the PS3 had yet to show its true graphical potential, and then this game came along. I didn't get to play it until late 2013, but it still felt like a game from that year. Awesome.
This is the best graphics game ever created, hands down. Its visuals melt down PCs and are literally jaw-dropping. It really sucks that this website only ranks games by the number of votes because the earlier games will obviously have more since they've been around longer. If not, this game would undoubtedly be number one!
The first Crysis game was supposed to set a new standard for video-game graphics, yet the others didn't match it for a whole year. When Crysis 2 came out, it had even higher-quality graphics. And the third game, which is even better than the prequels, ends up in eighth place? Below Call of Duty 4?
I feel this game has the best graphics compared to anything I've played. The objects have nice, solid, and sharp edges, unlike other games that have round and unrealistic edges. This game is the most realistic in my opinion.
Very nice game. The characters have realistic movement and reactions, and the environments have nice textures. It's fun to play MW2.
Why is it at number 20? It should be number 1.
I feel like this game's graphics still hold up years after its release. When the PS3 and Xbox 360 were the big thing, the graphics absolutely blew our minds. The success of the older versions made Rockstar Games want to remake it for 8th-generation consoles, which made the graphics better than ever. I think this is why Rockstar Games is growing so quickly - it's all because of Grand Theft Auto V. My god-brother Anthony had Grand Theft Auto V, and he had no clue about any other Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption didn't pull him in, and Bully didn't either. It was Grand Theft Auto V that did.
I'm actually kind of surprised nobody has voted for Red Dead Redemption. Anyway, this is one of the best games Rockstar has put out, and the graphics were top-notch - especially for a 2008 game. Rockstar was way ahead of its time.
It's very cool. I love it! It has a lot of missions and great graphics, so it's pretty amazing. Come on, guys, it deserves 100% of the votes!
With iCEnhancer, this game destroys all the others, even though it's a 2008 game. What is Super Mario 64 doing on this list, anyway?
This should be number one for best graphics, and I can't believe it's ranked at 9. That's unfair. This game is a visual treat for everyone. There are many breathtaking worlds to explore and tons of amazing characters. You know what? This game is a champion and a top visual masterpiece, with many beautiful and handsome characters. It's pure eye candy, and I suggest you play it on PS3. You will fall in love with its fascinating worlds and beloved characters.
A visual masterpiece, The Last of Us featured lots of realistic particles. Beautiful, lush environments, mixed with brown, depressing ones, made this game an immersive, cinematic experience. The blood and gore were realistic, and the animations were very smooth. This game had no flaws in facial expressions, although it would sometimes lose frames and lag.
The Newcomers
One of the best games in terms of storyline and graphics.
Amazing how they blended the characters in so well. Watch some of the scenes from the Subspace Emissary, and I guarantee you'll agree!
I do believe this should be on the list. For a game you'd expect to be kind of cartoony, think again. Play the Subspace Emissary.
Halo 3 is the best game. Since its release, millions of people have bought it and been satisfied. It's a great game with excellent graphics for an Xbox 360 title. The story is the best, and there are many servers online via Xbox Live. The game is unbelievable, and many people were inspired by Halo: Combat Evolved, which introduced CTF game types. I'm in love with Bungie.
Halo: Reach is even better, though. Just buy Halo games, and you won't regret it!
This game is a thriller of a lifetime, with great graphics, language, and aliens. If you want big explorations and lots of futuristic weapons, play this action-packed game. It will blow your mind.
This game is awesome, and its graphics are unique and special.
The atmospheres are great, and everything from lighting to rendering textures, from water to fog, to explosions is well done. It's not too realistic but not too fake either. Have fun!
Amazing game with great graphics and fantastic gameplay. For the year it was released, it had impressive graphics. The story is very interesting, and the combat system is good too.
Maybe not stellar by today's standards, but it has aged INCREDIBLY well. Plus, Alyx's facial animations from 2004 are still better than a lot of the facial animations in recently released titles.
Super Mario Galaxy, especially Galaxy 2, has some of the most beautiful levels in any game. The art style, color palette, and creative areas are fantastic, although some levels in the sequel were just copied from the first game. Even so, they are still beautiful to look at.
Come on, guys! The graphics are fantastic, and this is on the Wii, for crying out loud. The atmosphere looks amazing, and the models are fantastic.
For a game that came out on an SD console, the graphics look amazing.
Best graphics I've ever seen in a video game, and the gameplay is amazing. The sound is good, and everything about it is great. I love this game. It needs to be number one on the list.
Best dynamic lighting, HDR, action, sound effects, animations, and massive destructible objects I've ever seen in a video game. Its graphics can even compete with games from 2018. It should definitely be placed in the top 5.
The graphics are better than Crysis 1! This should be listed after Battlefield 3, in second place. The lighting effects are just that good.
Nowadays, this is probably the best available on consoles - at least until maybe God of War comes out.
It's a beautiful game, but Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is really beautiful.
Black Ops 2 is better, but for the record, the quickscoping in MW3 is awesome. I love the graphics. Go MW3!
Absolutely gorgeous graphics, and it's on the PS2 as well.
Better than Crysis 1, for sure. I just don't care about Crysis 1 being given number 1.
Really, this game should be in the top 5. The graphics are unbelievable.
I love this game. I play it at my cousin's house all the time.
Really? Skyrim and Halo 3 are ranked higher than this?! Halo 4's graphics are so good that the people look real. And I honestly don't get why Skyrim is so high on the list. The graphics, in my opinion, kind of suck.
Uh, I still don't know if the intro was made with real people or CGI. Very well-made game, and I'm not the biggest Halo fan ever.
Sometimes I wonder if they used real people instead of computers.
A week ago, I would have said Crysis 2, but then I bought a new 3D TV. Now, it's a toss-up between Crysis 1 and Oblivion.
Both games have lush vegetation, and Crysis 1 is technically better in terms of rendering. Its game world is more realistic than Oblivion's, but both are absolutely gorgeous in stereoscopic 3D. It adds a whole new dimension to the graphics - if you'll pardon the pun. Oblivion has a more vibrant palette, which makes it prettier to look at. I've been jumped so many times in the last couple of days just standing there, staring at the scenery and forgetting to pay attention to what's happening around me.
One of the best games ever. The person below is right - please play it at least once. Only the first chapter is boring, but after that, the fun you'll have is beyond imagination. Please don't just talk about the graphics - go check it out on YouTube!
This game is my life... It has the best graphics, the best gameplay, and one of the best things is that while playing, you feel nervous because the cops in this game are like the New York police. Please, guys, play Mafia II just once.
Extremely detailed, especially when you stick a chainsaw through enemies and split them in two.
I feel this is the most underrated entry on this list, but not the best.
Very textural. You can feel the rock and hard environments.
