The 10 Most Useful Websites I Ever Used

The following list is purely subjective and entirely based on my personal experience. Some of the websites mentioned are, or were, very useful to me, but they don't necessarily have to be useful for you. Just take it as personal advice and a sharing experience. Don't take it too seriously.

1. OneList

   OneList no longer exists today. It was purchased by Yahoo! around 2003 and became Yahoo! Groups.

   It was a mailing list provider, and I participated in many useful mailing lists, especially about writing. With it, I wrote most of my personal writings.

2. Yahoo! Chat

   The general Yahoo! Chat allowed me to get in touch with interesting people and make friends in the early 2000s.

3. Meetic

   In the early 2000s, Meetic was one of the best dating sites that actually worked. Unfortunately, since it was purchased by the Match Group, it practically died. But I really had interesting dates through it.

4. Seduction-rapide

   http://www.seduction-rapide.com, a French website, was very popular in the early 2000s. It featured a full member zone program to learn the principles of natural seduction in real life, and it also included a knowledge base with a lot of free, useful information about natural seduction.

   Unfortunately, it was never translated into English, but since I know French, I really liked it.

5. Casas Particulares Net

   Before 2018, I loved to travel to Cuba quite a lot, and I used this website to find the most convenient vacation rentals for me.

   The good thing was that I was able to book my entire stay directly before traveling. The agency is local, but it is sponsored by a Canadian company, so I could book all my stays in advance by paying only 20% from home. I booked several homes across different provinces and paid the rest of the money directly to the homeowners. I solved a lot of organization problems with that agency.

6. Quora.com

   Quora is no longer a useful website, but it was very useful in the past. Not only did I learn a lot of things using Quora and being a regular user, but I also earned a decent amount of money by participating in their Quora Partner Program. Unfortunately, the site has lost almost all its quality and no longer offers loyalty programs.

7. Revolico

   Revolico.com allows people living in Cuba to publish classified ads. Since I lived in Cuba quite a bit, I used it extensively and solved a lot of interesting problems with it.

8. DeepL Translator

   

   Very useful. The translations provided by this service are quite good. Sure, it wouldn't be trustworthy if you don't know the source and destination languages, but it allowed me to automate many annoying translation tasks.

   www.meetero.com is a social network to meet new people or find collaboration, during travel or near your place. Meetero was designed to help the user succeed in his or her quest, and since Meetic is dead, I think it is the best alternative and very promising.

   The dating industry is decadent and repetitive. Meetero was created to be a game changer and provide a service that is truly useful to the user. Sure, it's still a new site and not very useful yet, especially in countries where there are few users, but I consider it a great promise.

10. Invideo.io

    This was the best AI video generation tool from text I ever used.

    Unfortunately, with their latest update, they removed most of the features that made the service attractive before June 2025. It might still be useful for a start, and it was very useful to me at its peak.
