Egnomac's Loud House Episode Review Season 2 Episode 20B Friend or Faux?

egnomac Season 2 Episode 20B Friend or Faux?, Lisa's report card reveals she got an F in social skills so she attamepts to make a friend in order to improve her grade.

Episode starts off in school where Lisa's teacher Ms. Shrinivas announces that the class will each be receiving their very first report card all the other kids are confused except for Lisa who is the only one excited. After getting her report card Lisa checks her grade as she has an A in every category but has an F in social skills which baffles her as she goes over to Mrs. Shrinivas to complain about her grade as Shrinivas tells her she got an F in social skills because she hasn't made a single friend in class as Lisa replies she prefers to look at her classmates as co workers or occasionaly test subjects as Shrinivas givers her a suspicious glances at her as Lisa asks how she can change her grade as Shrinivas tells her she will raise her grade if she can make a friend as Lisa immediately makes a robot to pass off as her friend but Shrinivas tells her no robots and humans only preferably a classmate as Lisa ponders on how to make a friend.

Not knowing how to actually make friends Lisa does some field research as she observes the family and concludes that friendship requires compliments and flattery, engaging in casual sports and or play, sharing common goods and common interests. Using everything she's learned Lisa befriends one of her classmates Darcy Helmendollar as she compliments her sneakers as Darcy does the same, next she asks her to join her in casual sport and or play as Darcy suggest they play on the see saw as Lisa agrees soon after Ms. Shrinivas walks by and observes Lisa playing with Darcy on the see saw thought Lisa seems less thrilled by it as Darcy asks her if its fun as Lisa gives her a thumbs up before speaking into her recorder confirming her research as Darcy then tells her she has to tinkle as she gets off the see saw causing Lisa to hit the ground. Later during snack time Lisa then offers Darcy some of her kelp leather though Darcy is reluctant she does eat the kelp and of course she it tastes awful but she continues eating it as Ms. Shrinivas continues to observe Lisa and Darcy, during nap time Lisa bonds with Darcy by sharing a common interest in her stuffed giraffe.

During sharing time Darcy shares her new friendship with Lisa, impressed with Lisa's social skills Ms. Shrinivas gives her a passing grade in social skills. Finally improves her grade Lisa is ready to get back to her science research however Darcy still considers Lisa her friend unaware that she was only using her to improve her grade in social skill as she continues to try and bond with Lisa later she gives her a friendship bracelet unable to deal with it anymore Lisa tells her that she only pretended to be friends with her to improve her grade in social skills and no longer wishes to remain friends with her as she gives Darcy back her bracelet as she is devastated and begins crying as Lisa is left confused as Darcy tells her that she hurt her feelings as she runs off Ms. Shrinivas shows up and asks her why she's crying as Darcy tells her that Lisa told her she didn't want to be her friend anymore as she continues crying Ms. Shrinivas looks at Lisa with disappointment as she tells Darcy to meet her at her reading chair as she then speaks to Lisa asking her about the situation as Lisa tells her though she understands that friendship is an academic requirement she still dosne't see the point of it as Shrinivas tells her unless she does she can't give her that A and sends her to sit in time out to think about how she treated Darcy. As Lisa is forced to sit in time out she begins to worry about her academic record when Darcy comes over and offers her a cookie as Lisa confused asks her why she's giving it to her as Darcy tells her she looks sad and wants to make her feel better as Lisa finally understands the point of friendship as friends make life better as she invites Darcy to join her as she shares the cookie she gave her as the two become friends for real as Ms. Shrinivas looks on giving Lisa her passing grade in social skills as the episode ends.

Overall for an episode centered on Lisa Loud its a GOOD EPISODE, Not only that but I really like how it centers on Lisa's having to learn about what it really means to have friends and not be for personal gain. Its been speculated that Lisa may suffer from some form of autism which may be due to her being so focused on her science research that she never really learned how to socialize with the others kids and she has many characteristics of an autistic person and even though it was a terrible thing for her to pretend to be friends with Darcy just to improve her grade in social skills but at the same time she really doesn't understand the whole point of friendship until the very end when Darcy comforts her when Lisa is punished, the highlight of the episode is again the ending when Lisa finally understanding the importance of having a friend, really good episode and I highly recommend it.
