Best Characters in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Top ten best characters in the Harry Potter spinoff movie series: Fantastic Beasts.
The Top Ten
1 Newt Scamander

He's awesome and funny. He has a good heart and constantly screws up and gets into trouble, just like me! Not to mention, he's quite powerful, able to hold his own against Gellert Grindelwald for a while.

Newt is very cute, and I think his quirkiness makes him one of the best characters J.K. Rowling ever created. It's not often that you see the introverted guy as the leading character.

He is just a sweet cinnamon roll. My friends haven't seen the movie, so they don't understand how I feel about this film and this character.

2 Queenie Goldstein

She shows that a woman can be strong, brave, and independent without losing her femininity. She is a deep person who has so much wisdom and compassion that you can't help but love her. Her immense and rare powers as a witch mark her as special, but she doesn't allow that to make her narcissistic.

The fact that she knows and doesn't deny how beautiful she is speaks to her self-confidence, and it also makes the fact that she falls in love with an ordinary muggle so beautiful and real. I don't think anyone but Hermione could compare to Queenie.

3 Porpentina Goldstein

Tina is amazing - a strong leading lady who stole Newt's heart. She has great magical skills and is often misjudged because of her initial strictness. However, she has a soft side, is kind, and feels pity for everything. She appreciates the creatures and will make Newt's life more fun with her adventurous, strong, and justified personality.

Tina is the best! She shows every aspect of a powerful woman who knows what she wants and works for it. I also want to see her growing relationship with Newt. She was a little annoying at first, but she soon grew on me.

4 Jacob Kowalski

Only 9th? Jacob is awesome! He's absolutely hilarious, and he's a very good person and friend. I wish his memory hadn't been wiped.

Come on, at least let him be in the top five. He is funny.

I hope he will return in the sequels.

5 Gellert Grindelwald

As Percival Graves, he was one of the best characters in the whole movie. There's no way he should be below the utterly awful character that is Seraphina Picquery! I hope he kills her off at the beginning of Crimes of Grindelwald, as her reign actually ends the same year as the film.

He's awesome. I love Johnny Depp.

6 Credence Barebone

Only fifth? Gosh, I expected something like second or even first position. Anyway, I find him a spectacular figure. I think Credence and Newt are among the greatest Harry Potter characters, but Credence deserves much more love than he currently receives. Who wouldn't want to hug this vulnerable, problematic, powerful, and charismatic young man?

Credence was my favorite! I felt so sorry for him. I wanted to go through the screen and give him a hug.

Give this guy a hug. Outstanding performance by Ezra Miller, by the way!

7 Seraphina Picquery

I think she has a lot of potential to develop into a great character in the sequels.

8 Pickett the Bowtruckle
9 Modesty Barebone

The best part is that you knew she had many more hidden and interesting characteristics. She could definitely do magic with her brother Credence.

10 Niffler

He's so cute! And he can be very helpful sometimes.

The Contenders
11 Gnarlack
12 Albus Dumbledore Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series.
13 Langdon Shaw
14 Frank the Thunderbird

The most awesome fantastic beast.

15 Leta lestrange
16 Chastity Barebone
17 Theseus Scamander
18 Nagini
19 Dougal
20 Mary Lou Barebone
21 Nicolas Flamel
22 Henry Shaw Junior
23 Henry Shaw Senior
