There's no denying that few things in movies are more satisfying than watching a villain get beaten. But what makes a villain's defeat even better is when they run their own mouths and say something that gives away their true intentions.
Here are the villains who were defeated by their big mouths and loose tongues. Feel free to add more if you like. As long as their own words lead to their master plans being ruined, it qualifies.

The Penguin - Batman Returns
"Hey, just relax! I'll take care of those squealing, wretched pinheads of Gotham!"
"You've got to admit. I played this stinking city like a harp from Hell!"
While the Penguin and Catwoman are great villains, let's not forget about the rich magnate Max Shreck. He plans to build a power plant that would drain energy from Gotham for his gain, but as the old saying goes, you can't fight City Hall.
After Max is kidnapped and blackmailed by the Penguin, the two form a partnership in which Max convinces the Penguin to run for mayor so he can build his power plant without any opposition, and he leads the Penguin to discover his true name, Oswald Cobblepot. During the relighting of the Christmas tree in Gotham Plaza, the Red Triangle Gang, under the Penguin's orders, kidnaps the Ice Princess and rigs the Batmobile.
When Batman tries to rescue the princess, the Penguin kills her by unleashing bats, which cause her to fall to her death, thus framing Batman for her murder. When Batman tries to escape, the Penguin takes control of the Batmobile and goes on a joyride through the streets of Gotham. But Batman puts in an audio CD that lets him record the Penguin's tirade before regaining control of the Batmobile and retreating to the Batcave.
The next day, during a rally, Bruce and Alfred play his tirade over the sound system and expose the Penguin for who he truly is. Although the Penguin still goes through with his plan to kidnap Gotham's firstborn sons, which Batman foils, this ruins any chance he and Max had at a snap election that would've made the Penguin the next mayor of Gotham.

Scar - The Lion King
"Simba, you don't understand. It's the hyenas who are the real enemy. It's their fault. It was their idea."
This 1994 animated Disney film remains a classic even years later. Throughout the film, viewers see lion prince Simba grow from a young, naive cub into a full-grown lion. Easily one of the darkest scenes in the movie, and in movie history, is when Mufasa saves Simba from a wildebeest stampede, only to be thrown back in by Scar and trampled to death.
When Simba returns to Pride Rock as an adult after running away as a cub, he confronts Scar and forces the truth out of him. As he's literally backed into a corner, Scar pins the blame on the hyenas, who have been loyal to him throughout the film, without knowing that they overheard the conversation.
After a climactic clash, Simba tosses Scar off Pride Rock, and Scar is surrounded by the hyenas. It's then revealed that they overheard the conversation as they close in on Scar and ultimately maul him to death. If Scar hadn't played the blame game, he could've rallied the hyenas for another attempt to take over the Pride Lands. Instead, he's left in a situation where even his silver tongue couldn't save him.

Mayor Dawn Bellwether - Zootopia
"And I'll dart every predator in Zootopia to keep it that way."
In Zootopia, you can be anything regardless of how you were born. At least that's how Judy Hopps saw things when she was a child.
After becoming the first bunny police officer, Judy struggles to prove her worth to the rest of the force, especially Chief Bogo. But she soon finds herself in the middle of a case where all the predators in Zootopia are becoming aggressively violent and are forced to be locked away. She and Nick eventually discover that someone is using a serum to turn predators "savage" and have them locked up. As they discover a secret lab, they find themselves cornered by Bellwether in the Natural History Museum, where she tells the duo of her plan to create a city where herbivores such as herself reign supreme and shoots Nick with the dart gun, only for them to find out that Judy and Nick replaced the darts with blueberries. And just as the police arrive, Judy plays Bellwether's confession on a carrot-shaped voice recorder, which leads to her arrest and ultimate imprisonment.
A word of advice: never babble your evil plans to your enemies, even if you have them cornered, because you never know what they might be carrying.

In this iconic military drama, two Marines stand trial for the death of a fellow Marine, and it's up to Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee to uncover the truth. Suspecting that Colonel Nathan Jessep ordered the Code Red that led to the victim's death, Kaffee keeps pressing him on the stand until Jessep finally snaps and confesses. That outburst seals his fate and leads to his arrest in the courtroom.

Ego - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
"It broke my heart to put that tumor in her head."
The sequel sees Peter Quill and his band of intergalactic misfits land on the planet Berhert, where Peter meets his estranged father, Ego. As the two bond, Peter learns to control matter similarly to Ego and ultimately falls under his influence.
But Ego then reveals his plan to plant his seedlings on various planets and impregnate various women in hopes of bearing an offspring with his Celestial powers, only to have them killed when they failed to inherit his abilities. Ego tells Peter the story of falling in love with Peter's mother, Meredith. However, he admits that he put the tumor in her head that ultimately led to her death, causing Peter to snap out of his trance and lead his group to foil Ego's plans for good.
If Ego hadn't blabbed that part, then his plans would've succeeded. But then again, that's why Ego is called Ego.

Mr. Waternoose - Monsters, Inc.
"I'll kidnap 1000 children before I let this company die."
Even though children are scared of monsters, the monsters are even more scared of children due to the belief that they're toxic to monsterkind. But Mike and Sulley learn that this isn't the case after meeting Boo, who enters the monster world.
After a chase through Monsters, Inc., it's revealed that Mr. Waternoose and Randall Boggs are in cahoots to kidnap children and use an invention called the Scream Extractor to forcibly extract screams from them. Just when Mr. Waternoose thinks he has the upper hand, he declares his plan to Sulley, and it's revealed that they were in a scare simulation room with the CDA (Child Detection Agency) just outside the door, able to hear the whole thing.
This ultimately gets Mr. Waternoose arrested, and Monsters, Inc. is then reworked to collect laughter from children, which is ten times more powerful than screams.

Dick Jones - RoboCop
"I had to kill Bob Morton because he made a mistake. Now it's time to erase that mistake."
In this ultra-violent sci-fi film, the city of Detroit is on the verge of financial collapse and has entrusted Omni Consumer Products (OCP) to aid the police department.
After Dick Jones' demo of ED-209 goes horrendously wrong, Bob Morton is given the green light for his RoboCop project. After Clarence Boddicker brutally murders police officer Alex J. Murphy, his corpse is then converted into the powerful cyborg known as RoboCop, and it proves to be a resounding success, much to Jones' jealousy. He then orders Boddicker to kill Morton at his home, and when RoboCop tries to arrest Jones, his fourth directive kicks in, which disallows him from opposing any OCP board member. This is when he says the line before sending ED-209 on him, as well as the rest of the police force.
After a showdown between Boddicker and his men at a steel mill, RoboCop makes his way to the top floor of the OCP building during a board meeting and displays the conversation on some nearby monitors. After Jones takes the Old Man hostage, he fires Jones, allowing RoboCop to blast him out the window and send him falling to his death. This is what happens when you put too much confidence in criminals.

Lawanda Dumore - Problem Child 2

The sequel to Problem Child sees Ben Healey and his foster son Junior move from Coldriver to Mortville, Oregon, to start a new life. Shortly after arriving, Ben starts dating to find a mother for Junior. After meeting the school nurse Annie Young, Junior then runs into her daughter Trixie, a rambunctious tomboy who turns out to be a bigger troublemaker than Junior ever was. When Lawanda Dumore, the richest woman in Mortville, comes onto Ben, Junior believes that she doesn't like him. After the two couples spend a night at a pizza parlor together, Junior and Trixie start to bond and wish their parents would get together. During the wedding ceremony between Ben and Lawanda, Trixie drives a front-end loader with the Love Rock in tow and lets it roll down the aisle shortly after Lawanda says the aforementioned line. Lawanda foolishly tries to stop the rock with her bare hand, only to be run over by it. Although she's fine physically, she's emotionally broken. Ben then declares his love for Annie, and "Big Ben" Healy decides to marry Lawanda for her money.

Mayor R. Brown - Yogi Bear
"Do you really think I care what the law says? Or about some endangered "frog-mouthed" turtle? Or some stupid park for families to have a picnic in? No! I care about power, you pinheads! Nobody knows this turtle exists. And nobody ever will."
Even though Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo have been at odds with Ranger Smith since 1958, there are times when they need to put their differences aside when their home is in jeopardy.
After Franklin City's Mayor R. Brown empties the city's coffers with his lavish spending, he decides to close down Jellystone Park and turn it into a logging camp as part of his campaign to become the new state governor. Just when it seems there's nothing that can be done to save it, it's revealed that Boo-Boo's pet turtle is an endangered species, and the park cannot be legally destroyed.
On the day of Brown's press conference, the bears, Ranger Smith, and nature documentary filmmaker Rachel Johnson try to expose the plot, only for the turtle to be stolen. They are then confronted by Mayor Brown, who reveals his true feelings about the park. When Brown gives his speech at a press conference, the gang remembers that Boo-Boo has a hidden camera in his bow tie and hooks it up to the jumbotron Brown is using for his bid for state governor. After the footage plays, the frog-mouth turtle appears next to Brown, thus ending his scheme. It's amazing how a little electronic device can cause so much trouble.

Darla Dimple - Cats Don't Dance

Cats Don't Dance is one of the most underrated animated feature films. But then again, it was released in 1997, the same year as Disney's Hercules, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and, of course, Titanic.
It also has one of the best villainesses, Darla Dimple, a spoiled child actress who has no interest in sharing the spotlight with anyone, especially animals. In an alternate 1939 where humans and anthropomorphic animals coexist, Danny leaves his home in Kokomo, Indiana, for Hollywood to show the entertainment industry that animals have as much right to big parts as humans.
After Danny and Darla strike a deal that lets Danny and his animal friends use her theater to put on a show for L.B. Mammoth, she and her giant butler, Max, sabotage the performance by flooding the stage, which discredits Mammoth. Ready to throw in the towel, Danny makes one last attempt to rally his friends and put on a show after the premiere of Darla's new film, Lil' Ark Angel.
When Darla tries to sabotage the performance, Danny and his crew adapt on the fly without skipping a beat, thereby enhancing it and receiving a standing ovation from the crowd. Darla then literally pops up in front of them through a trap door in the stage, grabs Danny by the collar, and yells the aforementioned line, unaware that there is a microphone dangling above her head, which blasts her tirade through the speakers, thus exposing her involvement in the flooded stage and her true feelings toward animals.
