Top 10 Best Adam Sandler Movies

Adam Sandler. Love him or hate him, there's no denying he's been a major force in comedy for decades. His movies might be silly, sometimes outlandish, and occasionally downright ridiculous, but there's a unique charm to them.

Whether he's making you cringe with secondhand embarrassment or laugh until your sides hurt, Sandler has a way of putting his own goofy spin on characters - that somehow always works. And let's not forget the classics! Remember those hilarious movies you watched over and over again growing up? Yeah, there's a good chance Adam Sandler was in a few (or a lot) of them.
The Top Ten
Happy Gilmore

One of the greatest comedy movies ever made! I used to watch it all the time when I was little, and it still makes me laugh extremely hard to this day. The mini-golf course scene with the clown makes me laugh so hard that my ribs are in terrible pain. It is my favorite movie, hands down.

The Waterboy is funny, and Adam Sandler is funny in it, but this is Adam Sandler's best and funniest movie, hands down. I also thought this was one of Ben Stiller's best movies, even though the part was so small.

Makes me laugh so hard. This was back in the day when Adam Sandler used to make not only great but legendary movies. I cry with laughter when I watch this movie.

Billy Madison

I'm sorry, I can't hear you, I've been physically abused in the ear. Everybody who pees their pants at my age is the coolest.

By far Sandler's best movie. It is impossibly hard to pick, but I think this wins simply because you remember the most lines and quotes.

I don't know how this isn't first, but it should be Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Little Nicky, and The Longest Yard. By the way, where is Mr. Deeds?

Click

This is an awesome movie. That universal remote is so annoying. I mean, it looks fun, but just because you can skip time doesn't mean it's without consequences. The Yodels he keeps eating really affect him. He woke up weighing between 400-520 pounds.

It is very funny in the first hour and ends with so much emotion that I got teary-eyed, but it feels good after watching it. It makes me think about my purpose in life.

Like Jimmy V. said, "If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day." This movie makes you do all of the above! Wonderful movie, best movie of all time!

The Waterboy

One of his best movies along with 50 First Dates, Grown Ups, That's My Boy, and Jack and Jill. Oh, and "The medulla oblongata," only people who have seen it will get it.

Funniest movie ever made about American football. Ever.

Momma said... Watch this movie and vote for it!

The Wedding Singer

Not only is this my favorite Adam Sandler movie, but it's also my absolute favorite movie of all time. It's one of a few movies I could watch an infinite number of times and still love just as much every single time. It was cheesy in its own way, but it was meant to be. It was the first role where Adam Sandler showed he could actually act and perform in a romantic comedy. Adam Sandler hasn't had a great movie in close to a decade, but he and Drew Barrymore are fantastic together.

I was born in the 80s, so I didn't get to experience everything it offered, but I love the music and shows from that time period. This movie feels like a stereotypical parody of the 80s, and as far as I know, it hits the nail right on the head. It's more 80s than some movies that were made in the 80s.

I could go on forever about how much I love this movie. It is the absolute pinnacle of Adam Sandler's career and romantic comedies in general. If you haven't seen this movie, you're doing yourself a great disservice.

Big Daddy

I came across this list and figured I'd check it out. I saw Big Daddy ranked 5th and must say I believe it should be #1. Sandler's work in this was different from Gilmore and Madison. It was more of a drama-comedy film, and Sandler thrived. A terrific overall movie with a great story.

Number 14, rubbish. Billy Madison shouldn't be 4th. This was better than that!

This was a very good film, and it created some of my hysterical moments in my childhood.

Grown Ups

This is the funniest movie you'll ever find. With a mix of comedy and reality, Grown Ups is by far the best movie ever made. Adam Sandler could make you pee your pants in every movie, but when you watch this movie, you'll have the biggest laugh.

"It's amazing." One of my father's favorites. He was rolling on the floor laughing. Just need to make sure the number of votes is not like "Rob's car... an Oompa Loompa."

It's awesome, really, really awesome. Great piece of work by Adam. A real piece of fun, must watch.

50 First Dates

I watched this as a kid and still laughed at the lines for days later. You can also get very touched by this movie, and it is both inspiring and hilarious!

Very sad movie, but at the same time, the movie is inspiring and shows what love is all about in life. One of my favorite movies of all time.

Perhaps the best Adam Sandler movie. Lots of emotions - be it sad or happy. Truly a masterpiece of work done ever in any movie by none other than Adam Sandler.

The Longest Yard

Funnier remake of the original film in 1974.

Punch-Drunk Love

Adam Sandler gave us a surprisingly good performance, but all the rest of his movies are trash.

This is the only Adam Sandler movie that I liked, mainly because of his performance.

The Newcomers

? Uncut Gems

This is one of the best movies of all time, and it is no doubt Adam Sandler's best film yet!

? Murder Mystery

How is this last? This needs to be listed with Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, or The Waterboy.

Great movie - my favorite ever!

The Contenders
Reign Over Me

This should be #1. Yeah, we all laughed at Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, but this movie proves that Adam can perform.

His best performance in a movie. Happy Gilmore is his best film, but this is his best film when it comes to acting.

If you're an Adam Sandler fan, you should know about this film. Why it's 22 is beyond me.

Anger Management

The only good movie from him. And if it was anyone other than Jack Nicholson, it'd be just as bad as all of his other movies.

An amazing film, the first Adam Sandler movie I've ever seen, and it got me hooked.

A really great film! It's got one of the funniest scenes in movie history! (along with Big Daddy)

Grown Ups 2

People who hate this movie because of its "potty" humor need to shut up. This film is hilarious!

Best Adam Sandler movie! Forty times better than the first, and the first was awesome.

I think this movie is better than the first. Not saying the first was bad. It's funny as hell too.

Hotel Transylvania

It's understandable if you don't like it, but I think it's a cute little time killer.

Between this and Little Nicky, these are movies of his I find rewatchable and can make me laugh every time. The other movies may be funny a few times but get boring after too many views.

I have this on DVD. It's one of the movies I watch the most.

That's My Boy

Awesome movie. Very hilarious. The negative reviews are ridiculous.

I don't understand the hate this movie had!

Spanglish

Very underrated movie, his best true acting performance.

Little Nicky

This movie is so funny I would watch it 100 times. This is how this list should go: 1. The Waterboy 2. Little Nicky 3. Blended 4. The Wedding Singer 5. 50 First Dates (etc.)

Little Nicky is such a forgotten classic! I don't know why. It's so creative, imaginative, and entertaining!

For me, this movie is the best from all of them. I think it should be in the top 3.

Bedtime Stories

Surprised this is not on the list. Awesome movie. I have watched it so many times! Love Adam Sandler. And Russell Brand rocks!

One of the best movies of all time, hands down.

Funny People

So sad to see this one so low. It's clearly Sandler's best and one of his more mature and ambitious films to date.

Mr. Deeds

I really enjoyed watching Winona Ryder get punched in the face. Its humor is simple, which is perfect for those who just want a quick slapstick laugh.

Brilliant film you can watch over and over! Shame it doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Blended

Just watched this today - thumbs up for Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. They make great movies together! It should move up to the high end of the list for the best of his movies.

An amazing Sandler film, "blended" with many emotions, especially humor.

An amazing movie, my favorite ever. It has amazing music, great acting, and a beautiful plot.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry

One of the funniest movies ever. The homophobia and jokes are awesome.

How is this beneath movies such as Grown Ups 2 and That's My Boy?

Just Go With It

Absolutely hilarious. So many clever, funny lines throughout the movie. And Adam Sandler is great in light-hearted roles, especially when complemented by his supporting actress, Jennifer Aniston. This is a great film.

Still hilarious, but can I lie? You know what, just go with it.
