Top 10 Worst Movie Characters of All Time

The Top Ten
  1. Jar Jar Binks (Ahmed Best) - Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

Jar Jar Binks is a fictional character from the Star Wars saga created by George Lucas. A major character in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, he also appears in a smaller role in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, makes a one-line cameo in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and features in the... read more

I wish Disney would use their editing powers for good. If they can make the Expanded Universe non-canon then they can edit out Jar Jar presumably to edit something else in but hell just cutting out any scene that he says anything would be an improvement. Even if it leaves gaps in the story.

Why does he have to exist?! Jar Jar annoys me and makes me want to punch him in the face. All he does is mess up in fights and bother the other characters. He never was helpful or funny in any way. Death to Jar Jar!

He looks really ugly, even for Star Wars standards. Whoever made him is on drugs. But I have to admit that it took some effort to make this character. But still, a terrible character.

  2. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) - The Twilight Saga

I could write a thesis with reasons as to why Bella is one of the worst characters in the literary and cinematic universe. One is that she is too self-centered. Rather than appreciating the people around her, she goes and whines about her life and goes after a guy whom she, as the story goes on, gives her everything to. Putting aside their apparent magnetic connection to each other, she and Edward have not shared anything that would prove their love for each other. Their conversations are bland and the guy's obvious stalker-ish actions do not scare her off, even if the same kind of intense love could be felt from the werewolf lover. And she plays with both men and acts as if she is the victim of this already supernatural world. It's just stupid.

  3. Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) - The Twilight Saga

Edward Cullen is a fictional character from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. He appears in the novels Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn, as well as in their corresponding film adaptations.

He is also featured in Midnight Sun, a novel that retells the events of Twilight from Edward's... read more

Edward Cullen is pretty much abusive. He's the opposite of what a vampire is supposed to actually be! He's just one of the worst characters ever. He doesn't even care for his supposed lover?

So boring and painful to watch. He was trying to play the mysterious, bad guy, sarcastic punk that the good girl falls in love with, but come on, he sucks!

He is such an ass who doesn't care for anything. He's such a crybaby. He's an insult even to be called a vampire!

  4. Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) - High School Musical

This guy is such a Gary Stu who thinks he can have all the girls he wants. All the Disney movies today are total bull and painful to watch.

  5. Bucky Larson (Nick Swardson) - Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star

  6. Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Dolores Umbridge is a fictional character in the Harry Potter book series written by J. K. Rowling. She first appears in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as a Ministry of Magic official who becomes the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. Umbridge is widely regarded as one of the... read more

She is the one character that achieved being worse than Jar Jar.

I hope she makes it to the top spot of this list someday. She is the most unlikable character in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World.

Surprisingly, pink isn't even her color.

  7. Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) - Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones

Anakin Skywalker is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. He appears in the original trilogy as the main antagonist Darth Vader, serving the Galactic Empire, while his backstory and fall to the dark side are depicted in the prequel trilogy. 8. Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery) - Saw 3D

  9. Gene (T.J. Miller) - The Emoji Movie

  10. Pistachio Disguisey (Dana Carvey) - The Master of Disguise

This guy is such an offensive Italian stereotype and he's not even funny. Even Mario isn't that racist.

Worst name and accent in the history of cinema.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

Myra Breckinridge (Raquel Welch) - Myra Breckinridge

  13. ?

Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) - Fifty Shades of Grey

  14. The Contenders
  15. Maynard (Doug Bradley) - Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines

  16. Jill Sadelstein (Adam Sandler) - Jack and Jill

She's so incredibly annoying and she never shuts up. They say she's from Brooklyn, but I think she may be from Jersey considering that she talks way too loud and flips out for no reason.

Sandler's movies are well-known for being unfunny, boring, and annoying, filled with potty humor and innuendos. This must be one of his worst characters ever!

Does it ever occur to her that the reason she's so lonely is because she's so obnoxious? She talks way too loud and is always getting in everyone's business.

  17. Aang (Noah Ringer) - The Last Airbender

Avatar Aang is a fictional character and the protagonist of Nickelodeon's animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender, voiced by Zach Tyler Eisen. Aang is the last surviving Airbender, a monk from the Southern Air Temple of the Air Nomads. As the Avatar, he is tasked with mastering all four... read more

Who the heck was the actor who played Aang?

  18. Gord (Tom Green) - Freddy Got Fingered

More like Tom Green (Tom Green), am I right?

  19. Carter Horton (Kerr Smith) - Final Destination

  20. Veruca Salt (Julie Dawn Cole) - Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

Veruca Salt is a character from Roald Dahl's 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She is portrayed as a spoiled and demanding child who is one of the five winners of the golden tickets to Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Veruca also appears in the 1971 and 2005 film adaptations of the book.

She's such a spoiled brat, but that's what she's supposed to be. Even though in the Tim Burton version she is much calmer and reserved, it doesn't help that her performance is awful and really bland.

I felt bad for her actually, because it was her dad's fault that she grew up so spoiled, and she will live a hard life in the future because of him.

Someone should make her shut up! Her voice is irritating.

  21. The Toymaker (Sylvester Stallone) - Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over

This was really soft compared to the other guys he's played, like Rocky and Rambo.

An embarrassing role for Sylvester Stallone.

  22. Dex Dogtective (Charlie Sheen) - Foodfight!

Pretty much all Foodfight characters are bad.

  23. C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) - Star Wars

C-3PO is a humanoid robot character from the Star Wars franchise who appears in the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, and the sequel trilogy. He is a protocol droid fluent in over six million forms of communication. C-3PO is often paired with the astromech droid R2-D2 and provides comic relief throughout... read more

  24. Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Tim Burton, aren't you getting tired of being unoriginal? Why can't you just do original stuff and stop re-imagining things that were already fine by adding dark visuals. Some movies shouldn't have dark visuals. I really used to like Tim Burton's work back when he had good ideas and amazing characters back in the 90s. I really enjoyed Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Ed Wood and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

At the beginning of the 2000s, Tim stopped being original and decided to remake stuff. His first failure was with the remake of 'Planet of the Apes' in 2001 which sucked big time. It had bad actors, bad action scenes and bad characters. Not to mention, that it was way too long and boring. When I heard that Burton is going to remake one of my favorite childhood movies I was quite mad. In my opinion, no one can ever beat the original 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory'.

  25. Norm (Rob Schneider) - Norm of the North

Norm is the protagonist of the 2016 animated film Norm of the North. He is a polar bear who travels from the Arctic to New York City in an effort to stop a real estate developer from building luxury condos on his native ice. Norm uses his ability to speak human language and his charm to win public support... read more

  26. Alice (Isabel Lucas) - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

  27. Johnny (Tommy Wiseau) - The Room

This movie gives the game The Room a bad name. The game is completely unrelated. Whenever someone hears the name The Room, they think of the movie. The game is one of the best iPad games ever.

  28. Bud Macintosh (Pauly Shore) - Bio-Dome

  29. Seymour Simmons (John Turturro) - Transformers

He's sort of like the Great Gazoo from the Flintstones cartoon or Captain Quark from the Ratchet and Clank video games, except both these characters are more tolerable than this piece of crap. No offense.

First he was being portrayed as a villain, then he tries awkwardly to be a good cop, but now he's an ally? Ugh! I just don't get it!

He's just cliché and unoriginal. Anything else?
