Top 10 Scariest Movie Scenes Not from Horror Movies
-
Face Melting (Raiders of the Lost Ark)
I don't know how they got that scene into a PG movie. Really, people's faces start to melt off and one even explodes!
-
Sloth (Se7en)
-
Dr. Doom (Who Framed Roger Rabbit)
I watched this at night. He was the scariest villain I had ever seen.
He's a judge... For the record.
But he's still kind of frightening.
We never got to see his true form after he melted.
-
Donkey Transformations (Pinocchio)
-
The Tunnel (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory)
I saw this movie in theaters not too long ago when a movie theater near my house re-released it. The first time I saw it was when my dad bought it for me on DVD. I kept flinching and covering my eyes during that part. It's so scary! I'm watching the movie right now.
Couldn't cope with it as a kid and still can't cope with it as an adult. It seemed really unnecessary, to be honest.
I'm thankful I never saw this scene when I was really young.
-
Large Marge (Pee-wee's Big Adventure)
I was watching it and got so scared, I paused it and had nightmares. I thought she was watching me in my sleep.
Makes you think twice about truckers - ghosts? Really creepy!
If Large Marge can do that to her face, does this mean she can shape-shift?
-
Decapitated Horse (The Godfather)
-
Curb Stomp (American History X)
My brother showed me this scene. I cringed so much. It was probably one of the most violent and scary things I've seen in a while. Just the thought of you getting curb stomped is painful. It should be in the top 4.
-
The Librarian (Monsters University)
-
The Witch Transformation (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)
The transformation scene is pretty intense for young kids.
-
?
Possessed Cake Monster (Hotel Transylvania 2)
-
?
Toddlers Trashing the Toys Sequence (Toy Story 3)
-
Bug (The Matrix)
Well done to whoever made this scene. I saw it when I was 7, by accident. I'm 20 now and still won't watch it because the thought of watching it makes me feel sick. It plagued me with nightmares until I was about 14. When the film is on TV, I delete the channel temporarily in case my curiosity gets the better of me, or worse in this case. I bet it's not as bad as I might think, but I'll never watch it.
I was hoping this scene was on here because it scared me a lot when I was little. I was only 4 years old when I saw this. This still creeps me out, especially when his mouth started disappearing. I'll definitely give the people who did this scene some credit.
-
Night on Bald Mountain (Fantasia)
One of my favorite scenes from Fantasia. It's dark, creepy, and phenomenal.
-
False Grail (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade)
After I saw this scene, I thought, "No. I can't go on with the movie. It's too awful." But then I continued because I proved to myself that I'm not afraid and that it's just a movie.
