My Top 10 Best Debut Singles of All Time

So many groups and artists have had a great debut single, debut album, debut performance, debut music video, and more. You can't rank them all on one list, but these ten debut singles are my favorites.

    Michael Jackson's music career began at the age of 6. There's only one King of Music. The Jacksons will always be the biggest music family of all time. The Jackson 5 are legends when it comes to choreography and singing.

  2. Vision of Love

    I mean, Mariah Carey is the only one I know to serve queen things even in her first TV appearance singing America the Beautiful. Imagine being that iconic.

    The Daydream era is her vocal prime, but her debut single, Vision of Love, is, like all her songs, a very difficult song to sing, with a vocal style that inspired so many artists.

    No other girl group will ever come close to what the Spice Girls had, and that was without the streaming era, by the way. UK girl groups are really iconic. Look at Little Mix. They wouldn't have been able to do it without the Spice Girls. In general, TLC, Spice Girls, and Destiny's Child are legends.

    Her solo debut single would be Work It Out actually. Crazy in Love is the lead single from her solo debut album. Because of its success, many people consider Crazy in Love as her debut single. Just like people say Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough is Michael Jackson's debut single because of its success, why not do it as well with Crazy in Love by Beyoncé?

    Objectively, it is one of the best debut singles of all time by the Princess of Pop, Britney Spears. What a legendary way to debut. A legendary career was just starting. Britney only has iconic songs, songs I'm sure everyone knows very well.

    So, many people, including me, consider You Give Good Love as Whitney Houston's debut single, even though it was her second one. This is probably because this song was her first hit compared with her first one.

    Aaliyah had one of my favorite transformations ever, from tomboy to a grown, sexy woman. It was so flawless. She pioneered the tomboy style.

    This is a classic hit by Brandy. What a way to enter the industry, and what a talent at such a young age. An R and B legend, she had a movie with Whitney Houston as her fairy godmother and Diana Ross as her mom.

    This is so good that it feels more like a comeback song than a debut single. Avril Lavigne deserves more credit. She inspired artists like Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, Demi Lovato, and more. She is the queen of pop-punk.

  10. Pon de Replay

    Rihanna evolved music. She herself has evolved so much since Pon de Replay, not only in music but in the beauty and fashion industry as well.

    Pon de Replay is a dancehall classic, and she was only 17. What an icon.
