My Top 10 Best Collaborations of All Time
There are so many collaborations by different artists across different generations, including remixes and even unreleased collaborations. I'm not denying that there are still many more that could be mentioned on this list, but I only chose 10.
-
We Are the World
I don't think there's anyone who doesn't know about this collaboration. There are different versions in different languages, but the 1985 one will always be the original one. All the legends, all the top '70s and '80s artists.
We won't see something like this ever again. Not only because of these legendary artists, but because I don't think we will ever again see all the big artists, all the big names, reunited for a good cause, singing together in a way we can all remember forever. Times are really different now.

Get It (Duet with Michael Jackson) [feat. Michael Jackson]
There is also Just Good Friends by Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder. Get It seems to be a prequel to Just Good Friends. Two absolute kings, two geniuses.
-
Say Say Say
There is also The Girl Is Mine by Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney, but I like their vocals on Say Say Say the most. Michael and Paul used to be very good friends.
-
No More Tears
This is hands down my favorite female duet of all time, the first female collaboration to hit No. 1 on the Hot 100. Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer paved the way.
-
Under Pressure (Edited Version)
I can't trust the ones who listen to Ice Ice Baby instead of this masterpiece by David Bowie and Queen. One of my favorite epic bass lines.
-
The Boy Is Mine
I just love how you don't need to release a ballad duet to make a great duet. Brandy and Monica are the example of that. The harmonies, the vocal runs, the high notes. This collaboration has everything I like, and the song aged very well. The '90s were truly a top-tier era for music.
-
When You Believe
When You Believe from The Prince of Egypt is an Oscar-winning duet, produced by Babyface. Of course, Mariah's and Whitney's vocals are unmatched, and they both bring their own color to the song, but during these hard times, the meaning of this song is even stronger.

It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never Gonna Be (with Whitney Houston) [Single Version]
Whitney and Aretha are two of the greatest vocalists of all time. Powerhouses, legendary divas.
This is probably not a favorite for many people, but because they are two of my favorite artists as well, this remains iconic to me.
-
I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)
Both Aretha Franklin and George Michael are legends. Aretha only did iconic duets and collaborations: Whitney Houston, James Brown, Luther Vandross, George Michael, etc.
-
Hate That I Love You (feat. Ne-Yo)
Both Ne-Yo and Rihanna have unique voices that blend well together. This was the perfect sound for them, an R&B duet. The harmonies are top-tier.
