Top 10 Best A Day to Remember Songs
A Day to Remember has spent nearly two decades crafting a sound that's tough to categorize but easy to love. Formed in 2003 in Ocala, Florida, the band quickly made a name for itself by blending pop-punk, post-hardcore, and metalcore into something unique. Their music appeals to fans across multiple genres, and their rise from small-time shows to headlining major festivals is proof of just how dedicated their following has become. From the angst-filled, mosh pit-ready anthems to emotional, acoustic-driven ballads, they've mastered the art of mixing aggressive energy with deeply personal lyrics. The first song by ADTR that I heard, and it still remains amazing! This was the start of it all, and without it, I wouldn't have gotten obsessed with probably the best band in the entire world!
This song puts me in a good mood when I feel like crap. I think this should be number one because this is definitely their best song in my opinion.
This song is pretty badass. It was the first song I ever heard by them and it still remains my favorite. I haven't found a better one yet!
The pure energy from this song surges through me. The sharp melody and the abrupt break in the bridge make this song an undercurrent of power anyone would want to hear for vengeance or just to feel straight up good.
This song is absolutely amazing. The scream battle near the end is brilliant and makes this song unique compared to other metal bands. I reckon at Download 2013 they will wipe the floor with other bands with their awesome stage presence.
There's just something about this song that makes it so good. Jeremy's energy in his voice really translates into the song. Also, I love the music video! Everybody's out to get me.
Best ADTR song ever. If you haven't really listened to this band yet, make it a point to check this song out. All their music is amazing, but this one is a favorite of mine. These guys are badass, and this song proves how solid and legit of a band they are.
Very relatable. It has a great tone, and the lyrics are nice. The main reason I like this is because it relates to most of the things that happen to teenagers these days, and to me, that is really something special.
All I Want will always be my favorite A Day to Remember song. The message it sends in the lyrics combined with the vocals, guitars, and drums makes it one of the most badass songs in the rock scene, in my opinion. It is worthy of number 3.
This song deserves the number one spot. Ironically, it's what got me introduced to this absolutely amazing band, and I've been obsessed ever since. This track really shows how talented they are. They can do the hardest metalcore you've ever heard, or they can slow it down for an equally impressive and beautiful acoustic masterpiece. Absolutely the best song by them.
I love this song! It's my favorite song by my favorite band. It's incredibly easy for people to relate to, and there's no screaming (or screamo, as many would put it). Don't get me wrong, all of ADTR's songs are great, but Jeremy's voice is too nice to be used for screaming. Anyway, I love the band and this song!
I simply love this song. I listen to it over and over again and never get bored of it. This has to be one of the best, if not the best, songs from the "What Separates Me from You" album. If anyone hasn't heard it, then I recommend you listen to it right now! Go on, go onto YouTube and listen to it, even if it's the last thing you do!
Amazing song, pure lyrical and vocal talent. In the Sonic video games, Tails is always trying to keep up with Sonic but often is left behind. That's what this song is about, leaving someone behind. Easily a song to get you in a good mood and say F YOU to the person who screwed you over. An amazing song.
Yes, I agree: this song does not include metalcore-style screaming compared to their other work. However, it remains their most solid track.
Why? Despite the lack of screaming, the guitars are still influenced by the genre, and Jeremy's pop-punk vocal style is, as always, infectious. The best part about this song, however, is the lyrics.
Honestly, I cannot find another one of their songs that I could relate to as much as this one. It tells the perfect story of someone being tied down by the people around you, trying to prevent you from being yourself. I could ramble on, but I don't think it would be necessary. Just give it a listen - you will not regret it!
It's so fluent. The lyrics are rich with melodic hatred, and the harmonies themselves just tie the whole song up in a neat little package of power. It energizes me every time. This is always the first song I show someone when I try to get them into ADTR.
This is the song that made this band who they are. It's the song that will forever be played last at live shows and the one most played in the ADTR playlists of many.
One of the best songs I've ever heard in my life. It perfectly describes a past relationship, and it's so deep in every aspect.
I like the new ADTR sound. Common Courtesy was self-released by themselves instead of Victory Records, so it's their pure sound and completely produced by the band and Chad Gilbert.
Right Back at It Again has always been one of the most memorable songs I've heard by A Day to Remember. Just saying, it should've been in the top 10.
"If you're too cool for school, I ain't here to make no friends." I love this song.
Perfect mood music, greatest song ever. I listen to this song every day and it will never get old. A Day to Remember is the greatest band in the history of great bands. I'm just saying.
This and Another Song About the Weekend make for the best song pair in all of A Day to Remember's admittedly awesome repertoire of songs. I love it so very much.
When you have your phone on random, yet you keep skipping every song, this is the one I ALWAYS stop to listen to.
Really great instrumentals and vocal harmonies all the way through. It seems to have a bit of a softer edge than their more hardcore songs, but it is, in my opinion, the most emotionally powerful song this band has ever written and is one of their greats. Definitely a good listen.
I wrote a comment on this song about two years ago, and I look back and laugh at it. My opinion hasn't changed, and this is now my favorite song of all time. Why is it not in the top 10?!
This should definitely be way up there. The chorus, damn! The lyrics, everything! This song is just so well made that it's unbelievably good. Vocals, instruments, chorus, lyrics - all are just too good.
The Newcomers
One of the great styles of A Day to Remember. They give you pop, punk, and screamo. This song leans more towards screamo. If you have ever been to an A Day to Remember concert, when they get to the part in the song where they say, "Disrespect Your Surroundings," it gets rowdy.
Personally, I would place this song in my top five based on the fact that I enjoy their screamo songs, such as 2nd Sucks, Life Lessons Learned the Hard Way, Sticks and Bricks, etc.
I'm listening to this song as I'm writing this, and I just want to say that this perfectly captures A Day to Remember's unique style of music. It is catchy, with amazing cleans and screams, and a great breakdown. This song is absolutely perfect in every single way and definitely deserves to be higher up on the list.
My personal favorite ADTR song! It has all their best qualities in one song: great riffs, great drumming, Jeremy's clean vocals and screaming are on point, and the overall lyrics and meaning are amazing!
I love the lyrics and the intro. This is the best song by ADTR for sure! Downfall of Us All is a close second. You Be Tails, I'll Be Sonic is definitely third.
Best song on the new album. I wish they had gone more on the heavier side like Homesick, but hey, you can't disrespect ADTR, especially after the lawsuit.
The poetry in this song is gorgeous. Such simple lines, such as "Why can't you look me in the eye one last time," are accompanied by a powerful mix of effective harmonies and pure emotion. The hatred, longing, and rueful regret are portrayed perfectly, whether or not you're relating these lyrics to yourself.
As a hardcore ADTR fan, I believe this is their best song. "You should've killed me when you had the chance" is the girl metaphorically saying he should've cut her off. The part in the middle where he talks about killing her is him planning to cut her off.
"The writing's on the wall" in the chorus refers to her blood. The ending, "but should I write it all off?" is him deciding to forgive her again. She then chants, "You should've killed me when you had the chance." Crazy.
This song is new, so it has a lower spot as of October 16, 2013, but this is one of the most beautiful songs by any musical group that I have ever heard. I listen to this song, and it reminds me of my home back in Sarasota, of the things that I've done and felt. It's a beautiful message and expression of inner peace and love. A very beautiful song.
This song proves that they can be hardcore and soft. The guitars that play in the chorus really speak to me. Beautiful song, you'll love it. A nice change of pace.
This is definitely their most relatable song, besides maybe If It Means a Lot to You, but it's so beautiful.
The chorus... just listen to it, and you'll understand why this song is so good. Not just the chorus, the lyrics and basically the entire song are amazing.
Seriously surprised that this wasn't on the list. I like a lot of their songs, but this one is definitely my favorite.
What? No. 34? Unbelievable. In my opinion, this is absolutely their number one. If you guys haven't listened to this song, check it out, and you will absolutely love it.
I think this song at least deserves second place!
My favorite ADTR song! I listen to it when I'm pissed and when I'm not pissed. Okay, I basically listen to it all the time.
This is one of their best songs. I heard it during their concerts. You must listen to this! This song shares what they have to go through.
My favorite ADTR song of all time. Amazing lyrics, great sound. I can't wait to see them live in the summer.
Such an underrated song. It's amazing. The lyrics and the sheer force behind it are incredible.
This song makes me feel better every time I listen to it. It's their angriest song ever. It puts everything out there for everyone to see. The whole thing is like one giant breakdown. There is so much meaning in these lyrics:
"I am fueled by all forms of failure, I paid the price so I'll take what's mine."
"My time is flying past, I'm second to none, always shining the brightest when I'm placed under the gun."
"Where were you when my walls came falling down? You tried to hide, you stood close by, but didn't make a sound."
"Been dead last but found my way to the front, set by inspirational quotes on why I never gave up!"
"If you can't stand the pressure, stay the F out of my way!"
"This one goes out to everyone who's lied to my face... My heart is filled with HATE!"
"I'm making a difference! I'm taking a chance! You can say what you want about me, but no one can tell me I can't!"
It makes me want to take on the whole world because I believe I can.
An absolute favorite. The lyrics and the rhythm are perfect and amazing.
The lyrics are amazing.
"We'll make you the person that you aren't."
This is by far their best song. Come on, people, listen to it! It has amazing lyrics, and this song gets me going every morning. Give it a chance!
One of my favorites from them, with NJ Legion Iced Tea. Not too much shouting or screaming, and it has nice vocals. I'm surprised it didn't make the top 10.
One of the most underrated songs, not only on the album but by ADTR.
If you haven't heard of this yet, this is by far my favorite song, followed by The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle. "Violence, give me violence, 'cause they say we're the worthless ones!" Such a nice intro also.
When I was casually listening to some new ADTR songs I had just downloaded, this song started, and I could tell I'd like it. This song really is amazing. If you haven't heard it, check it out! It's absolutely worth it.
The rest of the album is not that good (if you like the heavier songs of ADTR), but this song is really outstanding and extremely awesome!
Sounds great and has fantastic lyrics. And it's one of the songs that doesn't have screaming in it, which helps.
