Give TS props. Being able to write catchy, commercially viable tunes virtually on the spot time after time is a rare skill that only a handful of people have. Since pop songwriting is such a valuable skill money-wise, if more people could do it, they would be doing so, but they aren't.

She is without a doubt the greatest singer ever!

Lorde hits that awkward place of "alternative mainstream," if that makes sense. It's like popular counterculture that does a 180 and becomes culture. I personally think her songs all hit the same note and basically sound the same, but I kinda dig it, to be honest. I had an extremely brief Lorde phase about a year ago.

Ed Sheeran's actually a good singer, unlike the vast majority of popular singers these days. But if I had to pick between him and Halestorm, I'd go for Halestorm in a heartbeat.

Ed Sheeran is actually the best mainstream pop artist.

They may not be lyrically or technically great, and their humor is immature, but they are one of the most creative rap artists out there with a unique style. Their songs use dark and imaginative imagery. They created a whole universe their tracks are set in. They refused to go mainstream even after a hit single. They stay true to themselves to the fullest.

You have to admit that even though they tend to play serial killer personas on each album, they also make deep songs that might not be complex but actually have a great premise and/or message. Listen to "Halls of Illusions," "Hallelujah," "The Tower," and "How."

Their main problem is that their biggest hit was unintentionally funny. But really, you want rappers that rap about topics other than party, money, and sex but call ICP some of the worst. I don't get it.

Also, Mike E. Clarke is one of the most underrated producers in hip-hop history.

Fun fact: Even though they aren't famous over here, the critical reception of Insane Clown Posse in German-speaking countries is almost always positive. I like that.

  28. Spongebozz

Dmitrij Aleksandrovic Chpakov, better known by his stage names SpongeBOZZ and Sun Diego, is a German rapper of Ukrainian-Jewish origin born on March 17, 1989, in Chernivtsi (then part of the Ukrainian SSR). He was raised in Osnabrück, Germany.... read more

Spongebozz is a German rapper who won several battle rap leagues in Germany. He has a huge fanbase and constantly delivers complex rhymes and perfect double-time rap. However, as his stage name suggests, he performs as a gangster version of SpongeBob SquarePants by wearing a costume. That is the reason he has a large number of haters and gets negative reviews.

Despite this, his technique is among the best in German rap history. However, his raps are very graphically violent.
