Give TS props, being able to WRITE catchy, commercially viable tunes virtually on the spot time after time is a rare skill that only handful of people have. Since pop songwriting is such a valuable skill money-wise, if more people could do it, they would be doing so, but they aren't.

We don't hate her because of her romance life. Not at all.

She is without doubt the greatest singer ever!

2 Lorde Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor (born 7 November 1996), better known by her stage name Lorde, is a singer-songwriter from New Zealand. She released her first EP "The Love Club" in 2012 and gained worldwide popularity with her song "Royals" at the age of 16.

Lorde hits that awkward place of "alternative mainstream". If that makes sense. Like popular counterculture that does a 180 and becomes culture. I personally think her songs all hit the same note and basically sound the same. But I kinda dig it, to be honest. I had an extremely brief Lorde phase about a year ago.

I think the problem is that she doesn't do too well live.

We hate her because the song "Royals" is about getting drunk, but kids still like it!

3 Ed Sheeran Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter and musician. He sang songs such as The A team and Shape of You. He was born in Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk.

Ed Sheeran's actually a good singer, unlike the vast majority of popular singers these days. But if I had to pick between him and Halestorm, I'd go for Halestorm in a heartbeat.

He's not bad by any means. He's just forgettable and drab--like so many others before him.

Ed is in my opinion the best artist currently out there.

I don't hate Ariana Grande... I used to watch her on Victorious and thought and still thinks she has incredible singing talent. However, she has done a multitude of stupid things. Like saying she hoped her fans would die, or shouting in a public shop that she hated America (I mean, nowadays, who doesn't? But it's stupid to shout), and overall sexualizing herself a lot. Like yes, she can do whatever she wants and I couldn't really care anymore, but there are justifiable reasons to not like her.

I love her. But she is using her voice to make songs that won't appeal to everybody. She can improve. Nonetheless, she is great.

To be honest, all she's doing is wasting her talent.

I mean sure Butter is overplayed, but before you judge them for there cheesy hits, listen to there Korean songs like We are Bulletproof: The eternal, or ON, the truth untold, or DNA. They may not be lyrically or technically great and their humour is immature, but they are one of the most creative rap artists out there with a unique style. Their songs use dark and imaginative imagery, they created a whole universe their tracks are set in, they refused to go mainstream even after a hit single, they stay true to themselves to the fullest and you have to admit that even though they tend to play serial killer personas on each album they also make deep songs that might not be complex but actually have a great premise and/or message. Listen to "Halls of Illusions", "Hallelujah", "The Tower", "How",...
Their main problem is that their biggest hit was unintentionally funny.
But really: you want rappers that rap about topics other than party, money and sex, but call ICP some of the worst. I don't get how. (Also: Mike E Clarke is onr of the most underrated producers in hip hop history)
