Top 10 Best Songs On Slayer's Repentless

Repentless is the 11th studio album by the influential thrash metal band Slayer. This is the first album to not include legendary guitarist Jeff Hanneman, and instead features former Exodus guitarist Gary Holt. The album was released on September 11, 2015, almost six years after their previous album.

The album includes fast thrash tracks like "Repentless," "Chasing Death," and "Cast the First Stone," as well as more groove-oriented songs like "Pride in Prejudice," "Take Control," and "Vices."

The Top Ten
  1. Repentless

I knew the moment I first heard this track that it was an instant classic! It is definitely one of the best tracks Slayer has ever released.

    The riff is very good.

I couldn't help but headbang to this song! Awesome!

  2. Chasing Death

One of Slayer's sadder songs, yet still brutal. King wrote this after the death of a longtime guitar tech, and knowing Jeff was "chasing death." The intricate riffing is reminiscent of Megadeth. Tom Araya's vocal performance was great, especially as his rage built during the second pre-chorus.

  3. You Against You

  4. Implode

  5. Atrocity Vendor

  6. When the Stillness Comes

This is brutality without the speed! It's a more vocal-driven song, and the way Tom sings - from brooding to rage-filled - is incredible. The lyrics are dark and psychotic, more in line with Tom Araya's style, which makes it surprising that Kerry King wrote them.

This song gives the perfect soundtrack to a nuclear war.

  7. Piano Wire

This song was written by Jeff Hanneman. It's the final song he ever wrote, I think. RIP.

Easily the best song on the album for me!

  8. Cast the First Stone

  9. Pride in Prejudice

Slow and heavy, with an awesome riff right before the solo and during the outro. Should be in the Top 5!

This is my favorite song from this album, and it should be No. 1!

  10. Take Control

It starts with one guitar doing an insanely fast riff, followed by a two-guitar riff attack when the drums kick in. After the intro, the main riff gives you the feeling of running from countless tanks just before the verse kicks in. Great verses, and a great chorus.

This should be in the Top 5, at least.

  11. The Contenders
  12. Vices

  13. Delusions of Saviour

An amazing, sinister, evil-sounding intro song. It features an awesome riff with great buildup. I love it!
