Top 10 Best Albums of 2010

2010 was a year of unforgettable music that spanned a variety of genres, moods, and styles. It gave us albums that defined careers, explored new creative directions, and soundtracked countless personal moments for listeners around the globe. From chart-topping pop hits to experimental breakthroughs, the music of 2010 was nothing short of dynamic and diverse.
The Top Ten
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - Kanye West

How? How is this not number 1? Seriously! Recovery is above this! Recovery is by far Eminem's worst album (even worse than Relapse). MBDTF is by far not only THE best album of 2010, it is so far the best album of the 2010s and quite possibly one of the best rap albums of all time.

As much as I dislike Kanye's personality, there is absolutely no denying he is talented, and MBDTF is definitely his magnum opus. With the exception of To Pimp a Butterfly, I don't think there has been a rap album since 2000 that can even hold a candle to this.

Recovery - Eminem

Great album from my man Em! This one really helps on the workouts, and the punch lines and rhymes are great. The beats are okay, but there are enough great beats to make up for the bland ones.

O Holy Night - Jackie Evancho

The first evidence of a promising and commercially successful future for the astonishing young singer.

Ended up being the best-selling CD by a debut artist in 2010 and was the 10th best-selling CD of the entire year overall. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard charts and went Platinum.

With this album, Jackie Evancho became the youngest soloist in history to go platinum.

The Suburbs - Arcade Fire

An unbelievably amazing album. None of the other albums on this list even compare to The Suburbs! Definitely deserved the Best Album Grammy.

A Thousand Suns - Linkin Park

Best sounding album of Linkin Park! The way they experimented with the song is simply great! There won't be any other album like this one! Linkin Park Forever!

Great and criminally underrated LP album - still catchy, still intriguing, still awesome. Can't believe trashy Kanye West is over Linkin Park. There's something wrong with this world.

This album should be in the top position or second only to Fearless. Really underrated!

Nightmare - Avenged Sevenfold
This is Happening - LCD Soundsystem
Cosmogramma - Flying Lotus
Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

Amazing, it's good, and you should all listen to it. The songs in it are all my favourites, and Katy Perry really sang well.

Brothers - The Black Keys

The Newcomers

? Ready to Go - The Black Noodle Project
? Coat of Arms - Sabaton
The Contenders
Asylum - Disturbed
Plastic Beach - Gorillaz

LOVE THIS ALBUM. For the most part, Gorillaz have made no song that sounds like another song they have made. This album has variations of singing, background music, artists (that play different types of music), and a good flow. It's like relaxing in a cold dark day in the car or going on a calm then heavy fishing trip.

Love each song on this album! White Flag, Empire Ants, On Melancholy Hill, and Some Kind of Nature are great songs.

So much effort was put into the making of this album. They truly are the world's best virtual band.
