Top 10 Best Arch Enemy Albums
Arch Enemy is one of the most influential and enduring bands in the world of melodic death metal. Since their formation in Sweden in the mid-90s, they've delivered a unique blend of extreme aggression and soaring melody that has set them apart from their peers. Over the years, Arch Enemy has been through several lineup changes, most notably swapping vocalists from Johan Liiva to Angela Gossow in 2000, and later to Alissa White-Gluz in 2014. Each era of the band has brought its own distinct flavor, but the unifying force throughout has been their ability to push the boundaries of metal while maintaining a loyal fanbase. When it comes to ranking the best Arch Enemy albums, fans have strong opinions. Each album has its own appeal, from the raw power of their earlier work with Liiva to the polished intensity of the Gossow and White-Gluz eras. Some fans prefer the gritty, old-school production of their debut, while others are drawn to the more refined, anthemic sound of their later releases. The beauty of Arch Enemy's discography is that no matter which era you prefer, there's an album that will speak to your tastes.
With Nemesis and My Apocalypse alone, this album is enough to claim the title of best Arch Enemy album. It has the best songs by Arch Enemy, so this album obviously deserves the number one spot on the list.
I'm not sure if this album tops Doomsday Machine, but it's at least their second-best record. Awesome!
I love Angela Gossow, but this is Arch Enemy's best album!
Four tracks into the album, and you'll realize what a great record this is. Simply unbeatable.
What the...? Can anyone explain to me why this masterpiece is ranked so low?
This is my second favorite Arch Enemy album after War Eternal. Reason to Believe is a masterpiece.
Something about the real spirit of music. Hell yeah!
Soul-crushing, sky-shattering wall of sound. That kind of intensity left when Angela joined the band. Black Earth is probably one of the best melodeath albums of all time. Now, they might as well be metalcore or some other poppy, half-hearted post-hardcore stuff. Idolatress and Fields of Desolation are probably the best tracks.
Bury Me an Angel is their best song.
I like every song on this album. That's why I voted for this one.
