Best Box Car Racer Songs
I love this song. I like how it turns out from a soft song that sounds quiet, peaceful, and like a lullaby, to a louder, scarier, harder rock noise. It is cool as heck! I like Box Car Racer for their harder rock noise. This is post-hardcore. It sounds like metal to me, though.
No contest, obviously their best.
It describes me because "I feel so mad, I feel so angry." It is their best song.
One of my favorite albums, although it's too short, is a masterpiece. This song has so much meaning. When you connect with it, your emotions flow through. Tom's feelings for Jenn are perfectly described in the lyrics. You can almost get the same sensation he had. And together with the instruments, it sounds so good. It has such a unique sound. One of my favorite songs ever written by Tom. It's a shame this band didn't make more songs. They could've been even better if they continued.
I think this song is criminally overlooked. It's so hard to choose the best because they all are the best, but for me, this is always my go-to Boxcar song.
How is this song not number one? It's almost iconic.
Letters to God is absolutely my favorite. It just literally takes you to another place. The lyrics are awesome, the strumming is great. I learned how to play it as soon as I started really listening to it, and I literally cannot get it out of my head. Great song for a calm mood, or if you want to sit in depression, OR even if you want a relationship song. Absolutely number one, although All Systems Go is quite close behind. I think it touches more on a "rock feel."
I love the guitar intro for this song. It kicks butt and makes me want to fight. It sounds even harder than hard rock. It sounds like metal to me. Tom really owned it with the guitar riff.
This song has a really dark meaning. It is about the 9/11 incident. And yeah, I agree, Mark's collaboration was awesome here. I don't know why anyone had the idea to turn this, and the whole album, into Blink-182's music. Sometimes I wonder what could've been if the Box Car Racer and +44 albums were instead albums from Blink-182. I mean, just imagine if Tom had never changed to be a "mature guy," never made alternate projects with Travis, and had never separated. There wouldn't exist AvA, which for me is good. I don't like it. And if all of Mark and Tom's ideas were together, we'd have more Blink albums! It would've been such a wonderful thing. I've always seen these two bands as the depressive side of Blink.
With Mark's voice, it's simply perfect!
Why is it so far down below? It should be up high. Seriously.
The bass in this song is so good. This song in the car with the bass up is good. Simple, but powerful.
I don't even know why this song is last?! It has amazing vocals, a pretty good message overall, and it's just a great song! Honestly, this song got me into Boxcar and Ava.
Definitely my favorite song from the album. Amazing lyrics, and also, I'm a big fan of Tim Armstrong.
