Top 10 Linkin Park Songs That Should Have Been on Papercuts

List of songs that should have been on Linkin Park's singles collection Papercuts, only including a couple of fan favorites but mostly singles to make it make sense (so sorry for fans of deep cuts, B-sides, or unreleased tracks).

The Top Ten
  1. Points of Authority

Yeah, it wasn't an official single, but if there's a Hybrid Theory song that's spiritually the fifth official single, it's probably this one. That's especially true considering the Reanimation remix two years afterward.

  2. Given Up

One of their heaviest songs and another fan favorite, featuring Chester's iconic 17-second scream.

  3. Iridescent

The third song included in the Transformers trilogy and another big fan favorite that would have fit.

  4. Final Masquerade

Speaking of which, it's weird how The Hunting Party is the only Linkin Park album without any appearance whatsoever on their greatest hits collection.

Personally, I would say it's their third-best album.

  5. Shadow of the Day

The other big hit from Minutes to Midnight. It even ended up on the 2008 Billboard Hot 100 year-end list. I guess it was either that or the other big ballad from Minutes to Midnight (Leave Out All the Rest).

  6. Lost in the Echo

The opener from Living Things, which quickly became another fan favorite and was considered by many as a return to form after the mixed reception of A Thousand Suns.

  7. The Catalyst

The lead single from A Thousand Suns and considered by many as a highlight.

  8. A Place for My Head

I know I already included Points of Authority, but this one is also considered by many as the unofficial fifth single from Hybrid Theory.

It has been one of the only songs from Hybrid Theory that continued to be played at shows, and it's another big fan favorite. So I was flexible with it.

  9. From the Inside

The only official single from Meteora not included on the greatest hits collection.

  10. Guilty All the Same

Not fair how Numb and Encore was on there despite the original song already being there, and yet nothing from The Hunting Party was included. (11/29/2025)

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Keys to the Kingdom

  13. ?

    We Made It

  14. The Contenders
  15. In the End

  16. Burn It Down

  17. Until It's Gone

Another single from The Hunting Party, which also got a lot of radio play and helped build hype for what would be their heaviest album.

  18. Burning in the Skies

  19. Powerless
