How Far I'll Go is the song that Moana sings when her father doesn't let her go sailing. It must be hard having Jango Fett as a father.

A lot of Disney movies have that one song that is so powerful and so memorable! Auli'i Cravalho has such an excellent voice! One thing that bothers me is the fact that people keep comparing this song to Let It Go. There's nothing in common between the two except for the fact that they are sung by female characters and have the word "go" in them!

Personally, this song reminds me of Go the Distance! Which also happens to have "go" in the title. Both this and Go the Distance involve a character who wants to go on a journey because they believe it's their destiny. They also both have a reprise in which the character is finally on said journey and riding something to get there. And both are covered by pop artists in the credits! See what I mean?

People only compare this to Frozen because they have fun making fun of that movie! Also, Frozen is definitely better than Moana!

I don't think I have ever heard Dwayne Johnson sing before! Since Maui is a demigod, he has done a bunch of awesome things to help others. And of course, he stole the heart of Te Fiti, which actually endangered the lives of others. But Maui still thought it was a good idea and decided to say "you're welcome."

Dwayne Johnson really shows a lot of talent in this song! I had this song stuck in my head when I left the theater! And of course, since Lin wrote it, there's a rap verse. It's too bad the musical number was just a way for Maui to steal Moana's boat.

Before this movie came out, the last Disney villain song was heard in Tangled. Shiny is sung by Tamatoa, the giant crab that lives in the realm of monsters. He's not the main villain of the film, but he's still an evil character. Moana needed a way to distract him while Maui was getting his hook, so she has Tamatoa sing about himself!

What makes this song so great is that it has a David Bowie feel to it. In fact, David Bowie was actually the inspiration for this song! Jemaine Clements certainly gave an excellent performance! I also find it ironic that in Rio he sang about being an ugly bird and in this movie he sings about being a beautiful crab.

This song is awesome! Auli'i's vocal range is amazing, and it definitely has an empowering tone! That last note that Moana hits is perfect!

The scene that this song is in, however, is just okay. Of course, earlier in the film, the grandma was going to die. She even said she would come back as a manta ray. And that's exactly what happens in this scene! This type of thing has been done so many times! The hero gives up hope, and then a wise person slaps some sense into them. It's kind of like that scene in The Lion King or that scene in Kung Fu Panda 2! The visuals are amazing, though!

This song was first heard at the D23 Expo in 2015. I was in the audience. I really like this song! Even though Lin isn't the best singer out there, it still sounds pretty nice!

When I first heard this song, I thought it was going to be at the very beginning of the film to open up the movie, but instead it was heard when Moana entered a temple and found out that her family were voyagers. They showed a flashback of her relatives wayfinding. So I was kind of disappointed by that. It's a great song to listen to, but it wasn't put in a good enough part of the movie.

Where You Are is the song at the beginning of the film. It's sung by Chief Tui and the other islanders. They're basically telling Moana to give up on her dreams of going on journeys in the ocean and stay on the island where she belongs. So it basically goes against what Moana believes in.

It's kind of similar to Under the Sea. It's a catchy song that shows us a place that we would be interested in while the main character wants to explore another land. Except in this case, Moana's motivation wasn't meaningless. I hate Ariel! But yes, this is a very catchy song! Chris Jackson's vocal performance is great and Nicole is really good too!

This song plays during my favorite scene in the movie when Moana is returning the heart to Te Fiti. The scene is very beautiful! I like how An Innocent Warrior is playing in the background since it's the song that played when the ocean chose Moana to return the heart. So it's nice to hear it while she is actually succeeding in her mission.

Basically, Te Ka is revealed to be Te Fiti, and she transforms back into her normal self. Pretty predictable, but then again, the entire movie is.

I love the calming emotion and feeling of realization this song gives me! This makes it my favorite out of the entire soundtrack!

This version of the song is heard during the credits. I'm not very fond of Jordan Fisher, but I really like this song! It's more relaxing than the one heard in the movie! And of course, the best part is Lin's rap! I keep replaying that part over and over!
