Top 10 Most Badass Songs

You know those songs that just make you feel invincible? The ones that would be the perfect soundtrack for strutting down the street in slow motion, all cool and collected? Yeah, those are the ones we're talking about here. Songs that have the power to transform the ordinary into extraordinary with just a few beats or guitar riffs. We're talking about the most badass songs in history.

From heavy metal headbangers that have you thrashing around like a wild thing to the low, thumping bass of hardcore tracks that hit you right in the gut, badass songs come in all shapes and sizes. These are the songs that make your heart beat faster, your blood run hotter, and give you the feeling that you could take on the world and win.

The most badass songs don't just sound great, they also resonate with us on a deeper level. They can be anthems of rebellion, rallying cries for the misunderstood, or simply a declaration of unabashed individuality. They hold the power to elevate our spirits, energize our bodies, and toughen our resolve.

It's about more than just the musicianship, the melody, or the lyrics. It's about the way a song can make you feel, the way it can change your mood, or even your outlook on life. Whether it's through a pounding drum solo, a shredding guitar riff, or a vocalist's soul-searing scream, these songs have that special something that sets them apart.

The Top Ten
  1. Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine

While this is good, Bullet in the Head is even more kick-ass. I'm listening to it as I type this.

  2. Ace of Spades - Motörhead

Ace of Spades is a really badass song, unlike a lot of songs put on here, especially the one by Lindsay Lohan. When was the last time you heard Lindsay Lohan sing a song? And really, Shakira and Beyoncé are pop music, not rock. This is the top ten most badass rock songs, if I'm not mistaken.

Not my favorite song from Motörhead but still a kick-ass one. Almost all of their songs have a much better chance of getting here than most of the songs actually on this list, like Born to Raise Hell or Orgasmatron.

Okay, most of the songs here are NOT what you would call BADASS. Ahead of this Motörhead song of true rage as a true badass song would perhaps only be "Bad to the Bone" on this list.

  3. Beat It - Michael Jackson

How is it badass? I mean, it SOUNDS cool, but it's a song about knowing when to run from a fight. Bad is BADASS. I mean, it has half of the word in its title.

I especially love the bit where it echoes Beat it, and he pants, followed by the guitar and gongs. It is badass.

  4. Bulls On Parade - Rage Against the Machine

I was instantly able to bench press 700 pounds after listening to this.

This song is amazing because of the vocals and the powerful guitar.

That chorus guitar line (rally round the family) is one of the heaviest choruses of all time.

  5. Enter Sandman - Metallica

This song is the definition of badass.

  6. We Will Rock You - Queen

Badass song by a badass musician! I would love to date Freddie Mercury. He's so badass!

  7. Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

  8. Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce

This song just puts you on "Fire and Flames". While I listen to it, I always imagine the badass hero flying like a rocket around the landscape while fighting his rival. It is motivational and hardcore!

I remember this song from the RuneScape clan war montages. That time was pure bliss.

One of the most badass songs in the world. Instant hype!

  9. Joker and the Thief - Wolfmother

Badass. Picture entering a prison yard with hardened criminals alone without a weapon. This is the song to play. Note to people voting on this list: learn the definition of badass, please.

  10. Back in Black Very Rare Version - AC/DC

Come on, think of a time when something badass happened and Back in Black wouldn't work.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

    Aerodynamic - Daft Punk

  13. ?

Blood Upon the Snow - Bear McCreary & Hozier

  14. The Contenders
  15. Dragon Attack - Queen

  16. Breaking the Law - Judas Priest

  17. Thunderstruck - AC/DC

Classic. Overused at some sporting events but still a classic.

Every AC/DC song could be collectively put at #1.

  18. Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones

Somehow, this song manages to sound like both the 1970s and today's world at the same time.

The official song of the apocalypse.

  19. Aces High - Iron Maiden

  20. Another One Bites the Dust - Queen

And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust!

One of the most badass bass lines in history.

  21. Man in Box - Alice in Chains

Love listening to this song in my car really loud. Layne and Jerry's vocals on this song are great. Never get tired of hearing this song.

Works best when you're slowly getting out of a car.

  22. Supermassive Black Hole - Muse

  23. I Wanna Be Bad - Willa Ford

  24. Bodies - Drowning Pool

  25. Search and Destroy - Iggy & the Stooges
