Top 10 Best Songs to Get High To
Some songs are built for sober ears, and others seem to unlock a secret bonus level once your couch starts feeling like command central. This list is for the tracks you put on when you want a beat to stretch, a guitar solo to wander, or a lyric to suddenly sound like it was written by a philosopher with a snack drawer. You may be chasing calm, weirdness, laughs, or that floating-through-space feeling that makes the ceiling look suspiciously profound.
The best songs for getting high do more than mention smoke or sound cool in a haze. They give you room to zone out, drift around, and come back three minutes later wondering why the lamp suddenly has such strong opinions.

Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
This song actually works. I've tried it. Unlike other songs on this list that just talk about getting high, this song is for real. You can be drunk, stoned, or sedated, and this song will take you places.
Anything with a slow tempo by Pink Floyd, or by Tenhi or Nest, works too. Anything abstract and progressive in genre.
A song has never been more beautifully crafted. Respect to Saint Gilmour and his clan! I have listened to this song at least a few thousand times now. Every note in this masterpiece is just too perfect!

Because I Got High - Afroman
This song is hilarious. The first time I heard it was from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
This song made me laugh like crazy.
Haha, this song made me more stoned!
-
Soundtrack 2 My Life - Kid Cudi
Cudi is one of the best out there in the genre of rap when it comes to intellectual stoner rap. He has the best metaphors, and keep in mind this is his breakout record. Try listening to Indicud! It's his latest album, and he comes back with a vengeance.
This song is the best. It was one of the first songs that brought me into the light of listening to music while smoking. I suggest this as an entry point into Cudi's world. Now he is all I can listen to when high.
It just felt like you could feel the beat. I found myself trying to sing along with it and clapping along with the beat! Overall, it's an awesome song.
I keep looking at the comment rater under the comment box, so that's why I typed this long. Happy highs.

Hey You - Pink Floyd
Just an awesome song from an awesome band. The Pulse concert DVD is almost a life-changing experience when stoned.
Big screen, surround sound, and space cake - get ready for an adventure.
This is the music a true stoner enjoys. Listening to it while high just gives the lyrics so much more meaning.
This is really an awesome song to listen to when you are high. I saw it in the movie Due Date and tried it, and it worked the best.

Dreamscape - 009 Sound System
Having done a ton of studio work myself, I give max cred to Dreamscape 009 Sound System. Their overdubbing is stellar!
Yeah, perfectly the best... Keeps me calm no matter how high I am.
Mesmerizing. All the time calm!

Light My Fire - The Doors
Really, one of the greatest songs to make sweet love to when high out of your mind. It feels as if you're gone forever in a different world, epically trippy. Just perfect.
I feel high when I listen to it, even when I'm not!
Best song to get dazed and confused.
-
Day 'N' Nite - Kid Cudi
Lay back and enjoy your high to this song!
Pretty dope song to get high and listen to. Kid Cudi overall, to me, is great sober and high music.
Bloody amazing song, high or not, but being high just gives it that extra push.
-
Hits from the Bong - Cypress Hill
Love hits from the bong. Nothing better than dancing around the kitchen nude, full of wine and weed at 2 in the morning with hits blaring out.
...And take a Hit from the Bong. THIS should be #1, not all the other stuff here on the list! Pink Floyd?! I guess people were too high when they voted because they voted for such songs. Bon Jovi?! Screw you guys, I'm going home!
-
Smoke Two Joints - Sublime
We're talking about getting high, right? Well, then this is the song. Take another hit.
Most Sublime songs would suffice for this list. Blaze it.
The song is literally about getting high. Blaze up!

Maggot Brain - Funkadelic
Smoke a joint, come back, and tell me this doesn't deserve to be #1.
The type of song to make you close your eyes and enjoy every second of it.

Jesus of Suburbia - Green Day
When you're high, you realize how much more there is to Green Day, especially on songs like this. The drums tell the whole story, and the riffs and little details in the background are so perfectly in sync with the singing and drums. You just feel even higher.
One of the best. A band that isn't afraid of anything, including their fans. Must read the lyrics!
Oh, awkward! I'm 13. But I agree, if I was old enough this would be a great song for the mood!

Strawberry Fields Forever - The Beatles
This one is my favorite from The Beatles.
It sounds fine for a few minutes, until the song fades back in with the reverse flute sounds.
-
Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz
When you're high and then the chorus comes... Good grief, it feels like you're levitating through the vast time and space. Give it a try. You won't regret it.
Try lying down and listening to this song. You're going to feel like you weigh nothing, and the lyrics are so hypnotic.
I feel like this should be higher on the list.
-
'Till I Collapse - Eminem
I listen to Eminem, by the way, and this song is like normal hip-hop.
But it's still cool. I like it. Good song.
One more time, Eminem proves that he's one of the best rappers of all time.
This song just overloads your brain to the point of a perfect high.

Paranoid - Black Sabbath

Pursuit of Happiness - Kid Cudi
This is absolutely one of the greatest songs to get high to. Out of all of the songs, check out this one.

The Weed Song - Bone Thugs-n-Harmony
Like the Doobie Brothers band name, the song's title gets you high all in itself.
Everything from the Bone Brothers works! They're simply amazing!
Should be #1! This is the best chill song ever!
-
Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - Marilyn Manson
As a huge Marilyn Manson fan, I was not expecting to see this song on this list. After considering it, I can definitely see how this would make it onto this list. Marilyn Manson is just immensely talented overall.
Just watch the music video. It literally looks like it was made by someone on drugs.
-
All Along the Watchtower - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
-
Champagne Supernova - Oasis
The music and the lyrics mix to create the second-best song to get high to ever. Comfortably Numb has a chill vibe and is still my number one, but this has a slightly edgier, yet still smooth, vibe to it.
Lovely song. It sounds very deep and peaceful. It can bring out many emotions within you.
-
My Smokin' Song - Lil Wyte
