The Top Ten
1 Justin Bieber Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He currently resides in Ontario, Canada and is Christian. He is the son of author Pattie Mallette. ...read more.

He's a bad singer and all, but y'all hate on him too much. He's at the top of basically every list containing the word "worst". Chill. I'm not a fan of his music either, his voice is really bad, but people hate on him way more than he deserves.

I never cared for his music, but he always got too much hate. When he was younger however, I'd say he deserved it as he did really stupid things, but nowadays he seems to have matured. Hating on Bieber was cool in the early 2010s in middle school.

Perhaps he gets a little too much hate, but he had done some questionable stuff, and some of his songs can be a bit obnoxious. He is not perfect, but he's not evil or anything.

It's annoying that justin bieber is overhated on thetoptens, the hate should stop

2 Nickelback Nickelback is a Canadian post-grunge band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, Canada. The band is composed of guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Kroeger, guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger, and drummer Daniel Adair.

I wouldn't call them good but they're definitely more would what I would think of as "don't really care for them" bad than "worst rock band ever to sign a record deal" bad.

Their music is good honestly. I never understood why they got this much hate. Similarly to Justin Bieber, it probably a case of people bandwagoning.

Their music is generic sure, but they've made some good songs and they are nice guys in real life apparently.

They aren't a bad band I like 4 or their songs, they shouldn't get hated

3 Taylor Swift Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She was born on December 13, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania. She is best known for writing personal songs and for having won 11 Grammys. She became interested in country music when she was around 9 years old, and after watching a documentary about Faith Hill, Swift felt that she should go to Nashville to begin a country music career. She then signed a contract with RCA Records and began to write songs.

She actually has a GOOD VOICE. And GOOD SONGS. I haven't been listening to any of her more recent songs, but all the songs from around 2001-2017 are REALLY good. She gets way too much hate for the substantial amount of talent that she has.

The treatment she has received over her past relationships was just unfair. Some people called her a "crazy ex-girlfriend" just for pouring her heart out. But now she finally has a long-lasting relationship and no one talks about it, and I guess that's a good thing.

We love you Taylor Swift!

4 Bono Paul David Hewson, known by his stage name Bono, is an Irish singer-songwriter, musician, venture capitalist, businessman, and philanthropist. His original nickname was Bono Vox which means "big voice".

I know he's pretentious to some people and that other people are mad at him because of U2 dropping their album on everyone's iPhones without their consent but he's a great man who does a lot of charity work.

5 Bring Me the Horizon Bring Me the Horizon is a British rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire. Formed in 2004, the group currently consists of vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls, and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They are signed to RCA Records globally and Columbia Records exclusively in the US. The style of their early work, including their debut album Count Your Blessings, has primarily been described as deathcore, but they started to adopt a more eclectic style of metalcore on subsequent albums. Furthermore, their latest album That's the Spirit marked a shift in their sound to less aggressive rock music styles. ...read more.

I bet there are two types of people who hate BMTH: (1) people who hate metalcore or (2) people who hated their change in genre. Needless to say, BMTH are a great band, even when they sound "poppier".

6 One Direction One Direction (commonly abbreviated as 1D) were a British-Irish pop boy band based in London, composed of Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and previously, Zayn Malik until his departure from the band on 25 March 2015. The group signed with Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records after forming and finishing third in the seventh series of the British televised singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Propelled to international success by social media, One Direction's four albums, Up All Night (2011), Take Me Home, Midnight Memories and Four topped charts in most major markets, and generated hit singles including "What Makes You Beautiful", "Live While We're Young", and ...read more.

Sure it's easy to hate on 1D because of their hysterical fans or because of their generic music, but some of the boys from 1D have really come a long way when it comes to artistry. Harry Styles is a prime example.

7 Post Malone Austin Richard Post (born July 4, 1995), known professionally as Post Malone, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, record producer, and guitarist.

I understand that some people hate him for most of his songs sounding the same or for his raspy vocals, but he's very friendly in real life and is definitely someone I would have a drink with.

At least he knows his music sucks, he said it himself. And he's a cool dude no doubt about that.

8 John Mayer John Clayton Mayer is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and record producer. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Mayer attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, but disenrolled and moved to Atlanta in 1997 with Clay Cook. Together, they formed a short-lived two-man band called Lo-Fi Masters.

Wow that comment about Jessica Simpson sigh what was he thinking. However I will concede that a lot of people do seem to claim his music is bad without much of a concrete reason.

Aside from his high-profile relationships and some cringy or degrading post-breakup confessions he made (e.g., calling Jessica Simpson a "sexual napalm"), he's a very talented musician and songwriter.

I just found out he plays on Pyramids by Frank Ocean so that on it's own puts him in in my good books as a musician at least.

9 Selena Gomez Selena Marie Gomez is an American actress and singer. She is best known for songs like "Come & Get It", "Good For You", "Same Old Love", and "It Ain't Me". Selena Gomez's voice is mezzo-soprano but she usually sings in alto. She is best known for her role as Alex Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place.

I wouldn't say she's an amazing act or anything and I can definitely get why someone would dislike her music (even if I honestly like a lot of her songs) but she is a frequent target of the "not a real music artist" crap and gets a bunch of attacks on her personally for little discernable reason.

Whether it's because she dated Justin Bieber when they were young or because she made silly pop songs, she doesn't deserve the hate she gets.

10 Marilyn Manson Brian Hugh Warner, better known by his stage name Marilyn Manson, is an American musician, songwriter, actor, painter, multimedia artist, author, and former music journalist.

I mean, he does have some damning sexual assault allegations against him and he's burned a Bible before.

Victim of a conspiracy.

The Contenders

He was replaced by George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of the band Monstrosity, who has remained as the frontman since. ...read more.

Cannibal Corpse isn't a band that is supposed to be taken seriously really. Their songs can be seen as extreme and gross, but they are like a horror movie, but music instead. A lot of the band members seem like cool and nice people.

12 Cardi B Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar (born October 11, 1992), known professionally as Cardi B, is an American rapper. Born and raised in New York City, she became an Internet celebrity by achieving popularity on Vine and Instagram. There are a lot of songs like WAP, especially on hip hop. And unlike what critics said, this isn't meant to be empowering. There's censorship for a reason. And, what would you expect from a Cardi B song?

Deserved in my opinion, she's a terrible person and does pretty crappy music.

13 Linkin Park Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. Those who hate their music or think of their lyrics as overly dramatic probably have no idea what Chester Bennington had been through during his youth and his battle with depression, which ultimately got the better of him.

They are not a bad band they have 3 good songs in my opinion they shouldn't get hated

14 Richard Wagner Wilhelm Richard Wagner was a German composer, theatre director, polemicist, and conductor who is primarily known for his operas.
15 Rebecca Black Rebecca Black is a YouTube personality and singer who's infamous for her 2011 single "Friday," which was the most disliked video on YouTube until "Baby" by Justin Bieber became the most disliked video in 2012. She has also released other songs, including "My Moment" and "Saturday".

I'm shocked nobody added her to this list so I did. When "Friday" first came out, people started bashing it and started acting like it's the worst thing ever. She was just a young teenager when this song first came out and she ended up getting bullied and got death threats because of that song and now it seems she distanced herself from Friday and the amount of hate and death threats she got was super harsh and undeserved. People call her one of the worst singers of all time of because of that song.

16 Austin Mahone Austin Carter Mahone is an American singer and songwriter. He is currently signed to Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records.

What has this guy been up to lately? He made like 1-2 moderate hits then disappeared. I guess some people hated him for trying to sound like Bieber.

I would definitely say there is a running theme of artists people tear into personally without them doing anything wrong. Honestly the comments about her especially those basically mocking her after she was shot are utterly disgusting.

19 Beyoncé Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, is an American singer and actress, who started out in the popular pop/r&b girl group Destiny's Child. They had multiple top 5 hits such as "No, No, No", "Say My Name", "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Survivor", "Independent Women", "Bootylicious", and "Jumpin', Jumpin" from 1999 to 2004. After they broke up in 2006, Beyonce pursued her solo career, creating smash hits such as "Crazy In Love", "Single Ladies", "Halo", "Partition", "Irreplaceable", "Drunk In Love", "Baby Boy", "Beautiful Liar", "7/11", and "Run The World (Girls)", and has since become one of the most influential performers and biggest celebrities of the 21st century.

Should be higher. Most hatred on Beyonce because of her obnoxious fans and overpraised, both reason have nothibg to do with her. If you look at Metacritic score, she isn't overpraised.

I agree with this, even though I'm not a fan of her music. She does get hate for most of her rabid fans.

20 Johannes Heesters
21 AC/DC AC/DC are a Australian hard rock band, formed in November 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young, who continued as members until Malcolm's illness and departure in 2014 . Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band.

Yeah! Most of their songs sound the same and the guy's vocals sound like a rooster. However, they are not bad artists. They are okay and made memorable songs.
