Recap: Martin Canine's Top Ten Songs of 2015 (As of January 31st, 2018)

Since I recently decided to make a retrospective list about my favorite songs of the year 2016, I thought: "hey, why not as well make one for 2015?"

So, what do I have to say about 2015 in terms of music?
Symphonic metal was back in Central Europe, conscious hip hop hit the stage in a big way in the US, and German hip hop had more commercially successful albums than ever before. And more and more A-list superstars experimented with different genres and influences, creating a more diverse sound. All in all - this year had a lot of good music, also in the mainstream market, which was generally much more inventive than later on, as the artfulness still felt authentic, and not like a trend.

Obviously, I made this list in early 2018, so I had over two years to pick my favorite songs. I took my time selecting and ranking the tracks so that the result is what I consider my ultimate list - right now. Even more obviously, I am not a walking song encyclopaedia that knows every song of every year, so maybe I'll still hear more great songs of 2015 in the future.

So, these are my top ten picks:
