Yes! I know people say wolves are overrated, but cats are praised more than wolves (sorry if my cat is reading this lol). My fursona is a grey wolf (half velociraptor!), and I don't care if you hate my liking of wolves! To me, they are very pretty and smart too. They are my favorite animals. Wolves for the win!

Kangaroos
The kangaroo is a marsupial from the family Macropodidae. In common usage, the term refers to the largest species within this family, especially those of the genus Macropus: the red kangaroo, antilopine kangaroo, eastern grey kangaroo, and western grey kangaroo.
My boyfriend needed a fursona, so I made him a kangaroo. Personally, I think they're unique. The muzzle shape is different from most mammals, they're already bipedal, super muscular, and really cute and cool, in my opinion.
They're not as rare as seeing a fish furry, but not as common as foxes.
Love from a Yeen/Parrot
One of my three fursonas is a kangaroo, and I love him a lot. I think that kangaroos are very unique animals, and they're also fun to draw. They're not as common as wolves or foxes.
Interesting furry species, more uncommon than, say, cats or wolves. Kangaroo furries for the win!

I came here to say that I am NOT a furry/scaly. People have made this assumption because of my dragon persona, but let me just say this: they aren't an anthro. They're a character of mine in my writing, whose personality is taken from myself.
They're so cute! I used to have two.
This is my new fursona.

Hyenas
Hyenas, or hyaenas, are carnivorous mammals belonging to the family Hyaenidae. With only four extant species, they represent the fifth-smallest biological family in the order Carnivora. Despite their small number, hyenas play a vital role as both predators and scavengers in their ecosystems.
My main fursona is a hyena, and they mean a lot to me. According to many people, hyenas are nothing but troublesome, gross-looking bullies who would be better off dead. Some say they have no purpose aside from getting their asses kicked by lions.
And yet, they are much better than people think. They're highly intelligent, one of the few animals that live in a matriarchal society, and are incredibly strong and good at teamwork.
I used to be bullied by larger people, but there were also some who saw me for who I was. So yeah, I love yeens.
My main fursona is a hyena, and honestly, I think they're a good balance in the furry community. If you can't decide between a feline or canine sona, a hyena would be a good balance. Also, yeens are pretty stinking cute, in my opinion.
