Top Ten Farm Animals
Top ten animals that are commonly found on a traditional farm.Horses are the best farm animals. Many might say they are pointless and don't understand you, and they are just money out of your pocket. However, horses are intelligent, smart, joyful, and wonderful animals.
If you are looking for a strong animal to plow the fields or bring you to the Olympics, horses are the best. Do you know where "horsepower" came from? Horses. It's not called "cow power;" it's horsepower! Power from the greatest mammal, with its long flowing mane and tail, endurance, and stamina. Horses will win the race for you!
By far the best animal. It gives us milk - yum! I mean, who doesn't like it? They make good pets too, if you look after them well. If you love them, they will love you. To sum up my story, cows are great!
Why are silly horses at the top? They are beautiful, and you can ride them, but that's pretty much it. Barn cats literally save the barn by eating all the pesky rats!
No, no! Get your other freaking animals out of the way. Cows are the best. They always have been the best and always will be. God's best creatures.
This is by far the best animal on this farm. It will win in a fight against a sheepdog because it can just lunge at it and do its top-secret sumo wrestler move. It can even beat five sheepdogs. This is the most underrated animal, even though it is at 3! Go pigs!
I think pigs (especially mini pigs) are by far the best and cutest farm animals!
Very cute when piglets. I love showing hogs at fairs.
Great animal in profit and taste.
People! Random strangers! Farm animals are NOT PETS. They are for human use, not cuteness. Rabbits are not very yummy, so I have no idea why people wish to raise them as farm animals.
Horses, pigs, cows, and goats I understand, for food and riding, yes, but not for 'rubbing against your leg.' Just go visit some 'top ten pets' lists and vote for pigs or sheep there. Chickens are very useful, laying large quantities of eggs. The meat is also very good. There are many different types of chickens used in various ways. Even if you don't want to eat your chickens, you can just buy some pretty ones.
My mum really wants a goat on a farm when we move because we live in Cairns, and there is not enough room here. So we will have to move if we want to get a goat.
Anyway, I think a goat is a perfect farm animal because you can milk it, make cheese, and make soap. I think it's a perfect pet to have on a farm.
The goat is obviously the best farm animal. It is cute, furry, likes to be pet, and likes people to feed it. Those other ones mostly just stand there being animals. Goats have personality!
Goats are awesome. I have two Saanen goats, and they produce so much milk - enough for our family of seven! Including cheese, cream, and butter. They cost so much less than cows to buy and to keep!
Sheep are very cute animals. I have loved them for a long time, not because of what they produce, but because of their actions and their faces, which are just so cute. I think they are the cutest animals in the world.
Sheep produce lamb, great for selling, and mutton. They produce sweeter milk than cows or goats. They provide wool and lanolin oil. They are excellent grazers and provide manure.
Sheep are awesome. They're soft and cuddly and help people get to sleep. There were so many times I had to count down from twenty sheep to get my children to sleep.
I think a dog is a good choice because you can play with it, and it guards your farm animals for you if you want a guard dog. But a normal dog is also a good choice because it's cute and a good farm animal.
Good choice. Farmers use these a lot to guide sheep to where the farmer wants them to go. Sometimes the sheepdogs will kill the sheep, but it's really rare.
Sheepdogs are the best. You can train them to tend to sheep, be house-trained, and do much more. Also, they are very loyal. They could also be a hardworking guard dog.
I have a donkey, and he is the friendliest, most kind, and loving donkey ever. They are also hard workers, and they are very intelligent.
Strong, friendly, and protective.
They protect horses and sheep from coyotes.
They are smarter than you think. Love them.
I love rabbits. I do 4-H, and recently the fair came by, and I got reserve best in show for small rabbit breeds in mini satins. I have always adored rabbits, and through 4-H, you will learn so much about them and their diseases.
You will learn all about different breeds. For instance, the newest breeds recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) are the dwarf papillon, Czech frosty, and the blue Hollister.
Rabbits are cool, especially cuy rabbits or, as you call them, guinea pigs or dwarf rabbits. Here in Bolivia, these are more popular than the common ones with longer ears.
Alpacas are very good. They are furry and definitely better than normal sheep. That is why I vote for the alpaca. There is no other reason. Although I think that alpacas aren't actually that common as farm animals.
Best animal. They can handle small loads of weight and are very cute. Also, their fur is very soft and valuable.
Alpacas are great wool sources. They are rideable, although I wouldn't suggest it. They do cost $62,000 a year, though.
Turkeys are the best! Some people think they are mean, but they can bond with their handlers like any animal. I strongly suggest getting a turkey because their feathers are nice to craft with, and you'll never have to buy a turkey again.
Turkeys are good for their meat, that's it.
Oxen are nice animals. They have a nice look and coat.
I had a goose that thought I was his mom once. He lived with chickens as his brothers and sisters. They were raised together. His name was Jeffery, and when I would lay down in the grass to read my book, he would climb up on my back.
He had just learned to fly when we moved. One day, a dog broke into the coop and attacked. He died along with all but one of the chickens. He was my little boy and probably died fighting for the other birds.
Go geese! They are intelligent, loving, friendly, and great 'watchdogs!' They can really bond with their owner as well. I have not personally tasted goose eggs yet, though.
My grandpa Ward owns a llama farm because he lives in Pennsylvania. Grandma Rhoda, his wife, recently passed away because of cancer. But, hey! At least he has the llamas to keep him company!
Llamas are cute, fluffy creatures that also have a mythical fusion called the "Llamacorn." Beat that, alpacas!
I don't know why, but I guess they are just cool, so I like them.
You can shear yaks and get wool comparable to cashmere. You can milk them. They are as tough as goats, as big as cows, and can carry things and be ridden like horses. They are the best and most versatile of animals.
For anyone reading this: A carabao, not caribou, is a water buffalo and the national animal of the Philippines.
My father and our family love Carabao because they can help us in different ways.
I, Gwyneth F. Magsael, was the one who posted Carabao here because it is the most helpful animal on the farm.
Great animal, both for meat and eggs. Feathers can also be sold.
They make good eggs that you can make lots of money on!
They get rid of ticks well if you have cats.
Mules are great pets and strong work animals. They bond with their owner and are fun to watch. I would recommend the best farm animal, the mule!
It is the only domesticated species in the family Felidae and is often referred to as the domestic cat to distinguish it from the wild members of the family. A cat can either be a house cat, a farm cat or a feral cat; the latter... read more
