Top 10 Video Games of the 2010s Most Notable for Their Negative Reception

So, for this list, I'll be looking back on some games from the 2010s that were notable for Negative Reception. If you do like these games, I'll respect. Even though this will just be about some games that critics and gamers hated.
The Top Ten
1 WWE 2K20

WWE 2K20 is a pro wrestling game made in 2019. The game was published by 2K Sports and developed by Yuke's. The game received generally unfavorable reviews, mainly due to the endless amount of terrifying glitches. Heck, even at the start of 2020, it was even deemed almost unplayable due to a "Y2K20" bug. *Smacks lips* Ok then.

This game was a hot mess. Never have a played a Royal Rumble match without the game crashing.

2 Fallout 76

An online action roleplay game of the Fallout franchise released in 2018. It was the first online and multiplayer game for the franchise. The game was shipped with numerous amounts of bugs into the game, and there were also complaints about the expensive amount of in game pricing. Finally, there was some criticism for the Bethesda's (the company of this game) attitude for players using mods, even if they were harmful or not.

I was excited for this game to come out, but the excitement went away when I got my hands on it.

3 Fortnite: Battle Royale

Dude I've never seen a game get more hate than Fortnite. Why this is not in top 3, I don't know.

4 Ride to H*ll Retribution

This game was announced in 2008 and it would take place in the late 1960s. The game was going to have a similar style to GTA. The game was released in 2013, and it became universally panned by critics. Why?! Ho, ho, ho, I'll tell you why. The game was largely criticized for: Broken Gameplay, Poor Controls, Bad Acting and Writing, and possibly the worst of all, the Negative Portrayal of Women. This just might be considered the worst game of the 2010s.

The controls, gameplay, and acting was terrible. This game is also infamous for it's clothed sex scenes.

5 Raid: Shadow Legends
6 Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric

Ah yes, Sonic. He has had a tough time recently, so I'll TRY to keep this short. The game was a spinoff of the franchise for the Wii U. The game was criticized for tons of bugs and glitches, poor graphics along with the level designs, very simplistic gameplay (not my words), and bad writing. I feel bad for Sonic.

I like Sonic as much as the next guy but this game was awful, it's way too glitchy and it looks bad.

"Sonic 06 will be the worst Sonic game forever"...
man people in 2006 were wrong.

7 Mighty No. 9
8 Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is a revival to the Tony Hawk franchise. The game was panned for it's poor quality (which is a major disappointment considering it's a downgrade to the original graphics in the old games), forgettable levels, dull tasks for the challenges, lack of NPCs, and finally, bad aesthetics. I would probably not consider buying this game if you're a fan of the franchise.

9 Duke Nukem Forever

This is probably one of the most disappointing video games possibly ever. So in 1997, it was announced that there would be another game for Duke Nukem titled "Duke Nukem Forever", but due to some problems the game was delayed several times until 2011, where it was finally released. Most of the reviews were negative, with dated humor along with the story as well, mechanics too simple, unpolished performance, and the graphics.

10 Flappy Bird

Don't forget guys, don't uninstall Flappy Bird on your iPhone! You can't redownload it!

The Contenders
11 Aliens: Colonial Marines

A first person shooter developed by Gearbox Software and is set in the Alien franchise. It was heavily criticized when the game was first launched in 2013. Large amount of bugs, poor A.I., unbalanced gameplay, low quality graphics, and last but not least, a poor implemented co-op mode. The story was also criticized for the lack of consistent continuity with the films.

12 No Man's Sky

Announced in 2013, No Man's Sky was going to be a space exploration game with over a whopping 18 quintillion planets all through procedural generation. This caused a lot of hype on the internet. But something was off. Some of the information stated was not in the game, such as no multiplayer and other features were missing too. This would go for players to give the game negative reviews due to the lack of communication from Hello Games towards the issues.

13 Alone In the Dark: Illumination

Installment number 6 in the franchise, published by Atari in 2015. The plot is a team of 4 trying to investigate a mysterious figure in a haunted house. Alone In the Dark: Illumination received Universal hate around the gaming world for problems such as cooperative gameplay and the mechanic of light sources to use against enemies. Some people call it the worst game of 2015.

14 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
15 Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival
16 Star Fox Zero
17 The Sims 4

This game is just a cash grab at this point. EA doesn't care about your enjoyment of playing, like in the sims 3, but comes out with utter useless DLC. Like a STAR WARS PACK? come on, this is a SIMULATION game make it more realistic at least. If EA will just listen to us maybe we will play this game. smh.

18 Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Reveal trailer has almost 4 million dislikes on YouTube, sales were down by about 60% from BO3, Has a 2-3/10 general user score on metacritic, this game was just a disaster in shorter words.

19 Star Wars Battlefront 2
20 Dungeon Keeper Mobile

Basically, it's microtransactions all over the place and the rating filter.

21 Doki Doki Literature Club!
22 Umbrella Corps

Umbrella Corps is a 2016 tactical shooter spinoff of the Resident Evil franchise. The game was released on the PS4 and PC, and received poor reviews from critics. The main criticism was the balance being absurd, the controls being clumsy, and people saying it fails to pull anything meaningful to the Resident Evil franchise.

23 Paper Mario: Sticker Star
24 Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
25 Yandere Simulator
