The voting period for this list has ended.
The Top Ten
  1. Ron Paul (Republican)

Ronald Ernest Paul is an American author, physician, and retired politician. He served as the U.S. Representative for Texas's 22nd congressional district from 1976 to 1977 and again from 1979 to 1985, and for Texas's 14th congressional district from 1997 to 2013. Paul is known for his libertarian political... read more

I agree, but a lot of people are going to vote for Clinton or Obama just because we have never had a woman or a Black president. Some people don't even know what they are voting for when they vote for them other than that fact. What we need is a good president, not a history maker.

Ron Paul is unlike any of the other Republicans. He voted no on the Patriot Act and No Child Left Behind, and has opposed the war in Iraq from the start. He is also opposed to the North American Union. He believes in bringing the Constitution back as the backbone of our government.

  2. Mitt Romney (Republican)

Willard Mitt Romney is an American businessman and politician who served as the 70th Governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007. He was the Republican Party's nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 election. Romney also served as a United States senator from Utah from 2019 to 2025, choosing... read more

Governor Romney has the best speaking skills of all the Republican candidates. McCain fumbles and bumbles anytime he encounters an issue other than the military. I believe Romney is the only candidate with the experience, speaking skills, morals, ethics, and clean background to be able to defeat a Democratic candidate.

In addition, I don't believe any of the Democratic candidates have the skills to be the President of the most influential and powerful country in the world, the leader of the free world.

Romney was alright. A moderate who probably would have had a better shot at winning the presidency than McCain, in all honesty.

  3. Rudy Giuliani (Republican)

  4. Barack Obama (Democrat)

Barack Hussein Obama II (born August 4, 1961) served as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017, becoming the first African American to hold the office. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as a U.S. senator from Illinois from 2005 to 2008 and as an Illinois state... read more

Obama is the best candidate so far, and so is Hillary. After the Bush regime, it's going to be hard for Republicans to redeem themselves. In my opinion, these past eight years have seemed like Republicans just want to do whatever they want and not be concerned about everyone else who is affected. They say they want to help the people, but it seems like they have selective hearing. They want to do things equally and fairly but break the rules.

Just a bunch of old people who declare war and let the young people fight for what "they" feel is right. Go fight it yourself. Let your kids be on the front lines. We need people like Obama and Hillary who have passion for the people and don't try to win by using ridiculous slanders on other candidates because it seems like that's their only option. Bush and anyone who supports him are our downfall or our own destruction.

  5. Fred Thompson (Republican)

A true Republican conservative who can pull this country out of the hell it's in.

  6. Mike Huckabee (Republican)

Michael Dale Huckabee (born August 24, 1955) is an American political commentator, Baptist minister, and politician. He served as the 44th governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. Huckabee was a candidate for the Republican Party's presidential nomination in both 2008 and 2016. He currently serves as... read more

  7. John McCain (Republican)

John Sidney McCain III (August 29, 1936 - August 25, 2018) was an American politician and military officer. He served as a United States Senator from Arizona from January 1987 until his death.

Before that, he held two terms in the United States House of Representatives. McCain was the Republican... read more

Nobody listens to what they're actually saying in the debates, and now we're paying for it.

Should have won over the overhyped Obama with a falsely advertised economic plan.

  8. Hillary Clinton (Democrat)

Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton (born October 26, 1947) is an American politician, diplomat, and former lawyer who served as the 67th United States Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013, as a United States Senator representing New York from 2001 to 2009, and as First Lady of the United States from 1993 to... read more

Despite that she is a woman, she is the best candidate of them all. It's time we let a woman rule. Women by nature are much better diplomats and care more for social well-being than men. Hopefully, we can finally get government-sponsored health care like the rest of the civilized world.

She has the guts, which no female ever had. She has the experience, which no candidate ever had. She has the will, which no person ever had. She will be the next President of the United States.

Brilliant, fearless, educated, compassionate, and willing to be the target of the Republican 30+ year smear campaign, which aimed endless vitriol and conspiracy theories at her!

  9. John Edwards (Democrat)

Democrats sure aren't popular in this poll, are they?

  10. Bill Richardson (Democrat)

  11. The Contenders
  12. Mike Gravel (Democrat)

  13. Joe Biden (Democrat)

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 46th president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 under President Barack Obama and represented Delaware in the... read more

I feel safer just knowing this guy is around somewhere, and he isn't even president yet! Finally, someone who says what they mean and means what they say!

How is Joe so low on this list? He would have made a fantastic president. I would have voted for him over Hillary in 2016 if he had run.

Should have been elected years ago. If there's anyone who can mop up the mess the Bush administration has made, it's this guy!
