Top 10 Examples of Sexism Towards Men
If you think sexism only exists towards women think again. You may encounter double standards that treat the same behavior differently depending on whether a man or woman is involved, often with assumptions about strength, emotion, responsibility, or intent shaping the reaction. Some of these attitudes are so familiar that you might not even recognize them as sexist until the roles are reversed.
You can support equality for women while also questioning unfair expectations placed on men, since one concern does not cancel out the other. By examining these contradictions, you can see how stereotypes about masculinity can produce rules and judgments that deserve just as much scrutiny as any other form of gender bias.

If women hit men they're brave, but if men hit women they're evil.
Exactly. I don't care if I'm a girl, sexism doesn't just apply to females. And don't give me that "women need to defend themselves from men, they are weaker" bull. Women can abuse men. Quit thinking that women are "superior" or whatever. It's ridiculous.
YAS. (Before you call me sexist, I'm a woman.)
I'm a boy, and I find this ANNOYING!

Women are romantic if they kiss men suddenly, but men are perverted if they kiss women suddenly.
(By the way, I am a guy.) Everything on this is correct (women are mistreated too), but this is the one that is the most correct. Because in my school, if I got kissed but didn't actually like the girl, people might actually act happy for me. Now, if I kissed a girl that I like, I would go to the principal's office and get suspended. (Neither of these has happened. Heck, I don't even have a girlfriend.)
-
It's a mistake if a woman goes into a men's bathroom, but if a man goes into a women's bathroom it's perverted.
-

Isn't feminism about how women can be just as strong as men?
-
If a woman stares at a man's crotch it's flirting, but if a man looks at a woman's breasts it's offensive and perverted.
-
Women can choose to not be a mother regardless of what's best for the child, but men can't.
One thing I hate about the whole abortion culture and extreme feminism is that men aren't allowed to fight for their babies because "it's the woman's body." Bull! The baby is half and half, you know?
It should be mutual.
-
If a woman grabs a man's crotch nobody cares, but if a man tries to touch a woman's private parts everybody goes insane.
-
Women can choose to abort and suggesting that she "keep it in her pants" is offensive, but men can't.
-
Sexism against women is always a topic that matters to the public, but sexism against men is never a topic that matters.
Men die from sexism.
-
International Women's Day is a worldwide celebration, but International Men's Day isn't.
-
?
Women aren't expected to fight in a war, but men can be required to even if they don't want to.
I feel bad for men who have been drafted.
-

-
If a woman touches a man, she's flirtatious and playful, but if a man touches a woman, he's a rapist and a pervert.
I feel down about this because I know that when I hug one of my girl friends at school when they feel sad or lonely, I pat them on the shoulders to cheer them up. That is in a friendly manner, not in a perverted way.
Correction: If a man groped a woman, he's a pervert.
If a woman groped a man, she's a pervert.
You'll thank me later.
-
Women can choose to leave the state with a child while men can't.
It depends. If a man is abusive, the child is safer with the woman. If a woman is abusive, vice versa. If they both are abusive, the child is safer far away from them, as long as it's in a safe place.
-
Men have to ask for consent to do anything to a woman, but women don't have to ask for consent to do anything to a man.
I haven't heard of that, but consent should go both ways.
-
Prejudice against women (misogyny) is treated as wrong and existent, while prejudice against men (misandry) is treated as right or non-existent.
-
Women who get raped by men get empathy and support, but men who get raped by women get made fun of.
Made fun of? More like not believed.
More awareness should be raised.
-
If a husband abuses his wife, people will come to save the wife from the husband, but if the wife abuses the husband, people won't help prevent it.
-
Men are always viewed as people who have no permission when it comes to sex, and women are allowed permission when it comes to sex.
-
If women are sexually harassed by men publicly the world will defend them, but if men are publicly sexually harassed by women the world won't defend them but discriminate against them for not being a "man".
Treat people how you want to be treated.
-
On a date, if a male says "let's split the bill", he's cheap, but if a female says it, she's independent.
I never understood the appeal of the tradition of the gender gap in splitting the bill.

That's disgusting too.
-
Men with long hair are viewed as gay while men with short hair are viewed as straight, while women are freer to vary their hairstyles without judgment.
I wish men could freely express themselves looks-wise and emotionally, unless the emotion a man is feeling at the time involves wanting to harm an innocent person. He could maybe go to the nearest, hopefully local, rage room, where he can break plates and stuff if he wants to throw things around. Therapy should be more easily accessible to people.
Short hair on men all the time looks boring and basic. Some women LOVE long hair on men, as it can frame their faces and make them look more regal and imposing. Just look at metal guys!
-
Women who reject sex aren't viewed as being lesbians. However, men who reject sex are viewed as being gay.
That is strange. Is that like saying someone is vegan because they don't want to try animal intestines or brains?
