Egnomac's Loud House Review Season 1 Episode 1A - Left in The Dark
egnomac For my first episode review I'll be reviewing the series premier episode Left in the Dark of the first season, Lincoln attempts to distract his sisters in order to watch the season finale of his favorite show AARGGH! a parody of Ghost Hunters but the power goes out and now he and his sisters must restore power before his show ends.The episode opens with a commercial for Lincoln's favorite show ARGGH! about the upcoming episode and how cleverly they use the title of the episode in the promo "Don't miss it or you'll be left in the dark" we then cut to Lincoln marking down on the calendar to the season finale of the show and then begins to talk to the audience about how difficult it is trying to watch TV with 10 sisters we then cut to a flashback of Lincoln attempting to watch TV only to find the sisters fighting with each other over the remote note the SpongeBob and Patrick and Kiss references, now back to Lincoln who then talks to Clyde via a walkie-talkie as they plan to watch the episode separately on account on Clyde being obsessed with Lori.
As Lincoln begins his plan we see Lola and Lana making their way to watch cartoons Lincoln distracts Lola with a tea set so she can have a tea party and since Lana really doesn't care for tea parties he gives her a pair of frogs and follows with the twins fighting, he then see's Luan making her way and stops her and tells her to get the video camera to record the twins fighting which she does, then were introduced to Lisa and Lily he gives her a bunch of stuff that she needed to keep her from going down stairs and picks up Lily, next is Lynn who's ready to watch a game and distract her with a helium filled football, then Leni which stops her by warning her about something she immediately thinks it might be a spider which she's terrified of and they bring this up in a later episode he tell her there's a zit on her nose which she believes because she's a total ditz, next up is Luna who he also distracts this time with a glowing flashlight to create a light show then we have Lori looking for her phone which Lincoln has and she gets angry at him for having it and is interrupted by Bobby calling and goes off to her room and Lily falls asleep as he rests her on laundry he finally makes it to the couch only to find Lucy there completely forgetting about her which is a running joke in this episode.
Lincoln tries to plead with Lucy to let him watch his show but fails then comes up a perfect solution he convinces her to watch her show on the black and white TV they just happen to have lying around as we can se the plug is in pretty bad shape and of course he plugs it in anyway and causes the power to go out, the other sisters start panicking and wondering what happened as soon as Lincoln mentions plugging in the old TV they realize it was his fault they begin arguing which is broken up with Luan making her first of many puns in the series Lisa complements her with a cookie which actually causes her to glow and Lori gets mad at Lisa for experimenting on her sisters again, Lori put her self in charge because she's the oldest they make their way to the basement where the switch is located to turn the power back on Lori is too terrified to go down to the dark basement so she grabs Luan who's still glowing and the glow wears off which then leads to another argument among the sisters meanwhile both Lola and Lana are terrified fearing there's a ghost in the basement and Lincoln just wants the power back on to catch the show and he decides to step up and take charge then comforts the twins telling them their big brother will protect them not just them but all his sisters equipped with his night vision googles and calls Clyde in for backup Clyde shows up and after seeing Lori he freaks out and leaves being no real help, as Lincoln makes his way down he trips and falls and apparently breaks his night vision googles Luan mentions her video camera has night vision so Lincoln uses it as he is followed by his sisters.
As they search for the breaker the sisters begin freaking out hearing noises which Lincoln reveals to be the pipes and Cliff the cat scratching on his scratching post then Lynn mentions a horrible smell which is reveled to be Lily held by Luna with a full diaper, and then the Loud kids hear a creepy figure chanting Lincolns name and everyone starts panicking Lincoln charges at the figure then the lights come back on thanks to Lori as the figure turned out to be the laundry and the voices were coming from Clyde via the walkie-talkie with the light back on Lori then shouts " first one to the couch is TV commando" Lincoln immediately rushes past his sisters and makes it the couch only to find the shows over leaving Lincoln completely distraught over missing his show his sisters feeling bad for him and comfort him and Luan mentions that even though he missed the show he just lived it remembering that the camera was still filming and recorded their experience in the basement, The Loud kids then watch the video together as Lincoln ends with saying even though he missed his show at least he there with all his sisters and of course Lucy pops up again scaring everyone saying they forgot her again and the episode ends.
For the first episode this is indeed a GOOD episode, it does a really good job of introducing each of the characters and a little bit of their personalities this also marks the first appearance of Clyde and surprisingly the parents are not even in the episode if there is any flaws I have to say the animation really looks really crummy but then again its the first episode of the series and of course it's gonna be a little bad in the beginning other than that its a really good episode and highly recommend it.

I agree with you that this was a good episode, but I think "Project Loud House" would of been a better pilot episode - Spongehouse
