Egnomac's Loud House Episode Review Season 2 Episode 21A No Laughing Matter

egnomac Season 2 Episode 21A No Laughing Matter, After overhearing her siblings complain about her comedy Luan decides to give up it up forever.

Episode starts with Luan annoying her siblings with her puns and pranks while giving them each a flyer for the Junior Comedian Contest for Saturday which she will be performing some of which include hitting Lincoln with a spring glove then shocking him with a buzzer, barging in on Lori and Leni in the bathroom while Luna is taking a shower causing Leni to mess up her lipstick and Lori her eye liner then proceeds to flush the toilet causing Luna to get hit with hot water, hit Lisa with a pie, annoy Lucy while in her coffin, placed a whoopee cushion as Lynn sits down on the desk, and interrupted Lola's tea party. Later all the siblings are in the living room complaining about Luan's jokes and pranks as Lana walks in with egg on her face from another one of Luan's pranks as they all go on saying how annoying Luan has been and can't wait for her show to be over wishing she would just stop unaware that Luan has been listening to everything they've been saying and is sadden to hear what they think of her comedy.

The next day to everyone's surprise Luan has completely stopped with her puns and pranks and is actually acting normal though they still think its a trick, later the siblings all gather in the kitchen while eating sandwiches as they talk about how strange Luan has been acting and are actually pleased to have a break from her constant puns and celebrate with some left over pie. Lincoln later enters Luan and Luna's room for trash call and notices their trash can filled with Luan's flyers for the competition as Lincoln asks her about it thinking she threw them out by accident as Luan explains that it was no accident that she purposely threw them out not only that but is dropping out of the competition as well as giving up comedy forever as Lincoln protests asking why she would give it all up as Luan tells him she overheard everything he and the others said about her comedy about how annoying she has been with her comedy. Lincoln tries to explain that they only said that because she was constantly in their face with her pranks but Luan has made up her mind stating if her own family finds her annoying then so will the audience and throws out her joke books, props and even Mr. Coconut.

Shocked by this he rushes over to tell everyone that Luan has given up comedy and is dropping out of the show and seeing how much it meant for her to be in the contest they devise a plan to get her back to her old self. They first try to set her up for a joke which fails they then attempt to go straight to the laughs as everyone performs a spit take when ever Luan says something even if its not actually funny Luan however sees through their deception and calls them out as she straight up tells them that she's done with comedy as Leni too performs a spit take which annoys Luan as she storms off. Nearly out of options Lincoln comes up with an idea but Lisa has her own idea of using her own time machine to send them back two minutes before Luan overheard them criticizing them the only catch the journey could result in their butts being in front as they immediately turn to Lincoln to hear his plan as he explains since they can't convince her she's funny they can get the audience to as Luna asks how that's going to happen as he tells them just to make sure Luan is at the contest and they'll find out as Lana then asks Lisa if she can still put her butt in front.

Later the kids invite Luan to the Chortle Portal where the Junior Comedian Contest is being held as the contest begins Lincoln shows up on stage with Luan's joke book and begins telling jokes and completely botches them as Luan realizes he's saying the wrong punchlines, for the last joke Lincoln asks "Why did the students eat their homework?, Because their teacher said it would be a piece of pie" and hits himself with a pie, unable to stand it any longer Luan gets up on stage telling Lincoln that the punchline is suppose to be "a piece of cake" as she smashes a cake in his face which causes the audience to laugh as she takes over the act and continues to make the audience with her puns and jokes as the siblings join in on the laughter. Next day Leni congratulates Luan on winning the junior comedian contest as Luan says she owes it all to them as she thanks Lincoln for stinking on purpose so she would get up on stage as Lincoln nervously agrees even though it was clear he was trying his best, Lori then adds that their all proud of her and are sorry for what they said about her as Luan thanks them and promises to tone it down a bit in the future as Lana heads towards the living room Luan accidentally bumps into her causing her to fall as she tries not to make a pun as Lori assures her its okay as she replies to Lana "Your breakfast is toast, and that's no yolking matter, if you scramble you can make another" as Lincoln tells her its good to have her back as Luan continues to make more puns as she continues to laugh as she ends the episode with one more pun "I crack myself up" as the episode ends.

If I have to be honest this episode really isn't that good, I really had a hard time buying into the story of Luan giving up comedy just because she overheard her siblings saying how annoying she is even though they have been annoyed by her puns in the past and it feels really out of character for her to just suddenly quit just because her siblings criticized her even though they were more annoyed with her pranks she was doing earlier, the highlight of the episode has to be during the junior comedy contest when Lincoln and the other are able to get Luan to get up on stage and perform and though there were a couple of funny moments like when the kids try to get her back into comedy and even do the spit take on her the episode feels really bland for the first half though I did enjoy the other half when things really got interesting, in my opinion this episode is just OKAY could have worked much better if it was given a better direction.
