Top 10 Mediocre Bands We Liked as Teens

Ya ever went through a phase of liking a certain band in high school? Then once you got into college you simply did not care for that band anymore? I bet we all have. This is a list of bands that aren't really that unique or remarkable yet we listened to anyway during our teen years. Bands that haven't aged well over the years.

If you still like these bands then great. Nothing wrong with that at all. This list is just my personal opinion.

1 Creed Creed is an American post-grunge band, formed in 1993 in Tallahassee, Florida. The band's best-known line-up consisted of lead vocalist Scott Stapp, guitarist and vocalist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall, and drummer Scott Phillips.
2 Nickelback Nickelback is a Canadian post-grunge band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, Canada. The band is composed of guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Kroeger, guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger, and drummer Daniel Adair.

They are one of the most hated bands around and I can understand why, I liked them as a kid but now I see that they are really mediocre because their songs are too simple and repetitive.

I'm a teen and I hate this band

3 Alien Ant Farm Alien Ant Farm is an American rock band that formed in Riverside, California, United States, in 1996. Their name comes from an idea original guitarist Terry Corso had about aliens and the Earth: "it was just my daydream about our planet being seeded by entities from other dimensions." They have released five studio albums, and have sold over 5 million units worldwide.
4 Coal Chamber Coal Chamber was a nu-metal band formed in Los Angeles, CA, in 1993. The current members of Coal Chamber are Dez Fafara (Vocals), Nadja Peulen (Bass), Meegs Rascón (Guitar), and Mike Cox (Drums). Former members of the band include Rayna Foss, Chela Rhea Harper, and John Thor. Coal Chamber is typically known being associated with Nu Metal, Alternative Metal, and even Gothic Metal. Coal Chamber is best known for the song "Loco", on their self titled first album. Some of Coal Chamber's accomplishments include releasing 4 albums, "Coal Chamber" (1997), "Chamber Music" (1999), "Dark Days" (2002), and "Rivals" (2015).

I find their first album to be solid heavy and dark Nu Metal. Unfortunately can't say the same about their later records.

5 Linkin Park Linkin Park is an American alternative rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996. The current members include Mike Shinoda (vocals, keyboards, rhythm guitar), Brad Delson (guitar), Dave "Phoenix" Farrell (bass), Joe Hahn (DJ), and Rob Bourdon (drums). Ooh boy. This band has the biggest love-hate relationship with me. I was a HUGE fan back then but now not so much. I still enjoy them but it's a constant struggle between are they still really great to me or just one of those bands I liked then but are kind of meh to me now. I constantly go back and forth with this lol

I would quote the user cjWriter1997: "If you think this band is the greatest ever. You really need to diversify your musical taste, like by a lot."

Yup. They are fun when you're under 18 after you start questioning your music taste...

9 Three Days Grace Three Days Grace is a Canadian post-grunge/alternative rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1992 with a line-up consisting of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. Their original name was Groundswell until they changed it to their current name in 1997. In 2003, the band's current guitarist Barry Stock was recruited to the band. In 2013 Gontier left the band due to creative differences. He was replaced with Brad's brother Matt Walst.

This band is amazing! Songs like Riot, Painkiller, So what, Landmine and many other. Just hear these songs you'll get mad. THIS BAND MUST BE IN TOP 3

I liked Three Days Grace since elementary school call them mediocre all you want but I'll still like them and not get into all this Shoegae/ blackgaze garbage. - BoredJeff02

11 Disturbed Disturbed is an American alternative metal/nu-metal/hard rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The band comprises vocalist David Draiman, bassist John Moyer, guitarist Dan Donegan, and drummer Mike Wengren. They are known for songs like "Down With the Sickness" and "Stricken".

I find Disturbed to be interesting enough to listen to and enjoy greatly

Great band actually but they are not the best band ever.

12 Skillet Skillet is an American Christian rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee in 1996 and based in the United States.
13 Breaking Benjamin Breaking Benjamin is a American post-grunge/alternative metal/rock band formed in 1998. The bands members all changed in the time between 2010 to 2014, with the exception of Ben Burnley (Vocals). The Ex-Members included Chad Szeliga (Drums), Aaron Fink (Guitar) and Mark Klepaspi (Bass). The band is one of the most well-known bands of its genre and is associated with its electronic sounds in their songs and overall technicality. After the release of their second album "We Are Not Alone", the band gained a lot success in Europe and Asia.

Oh yes this band is very overrated

Fall out boy are ok but there are much better emo bands. Like panic! At the disco, twenty one pilots, my chemical romance etc

16 Marilyn Manson Marilyn Manson is an American rock band from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Formed in 1989 by frontman Marilyn Manson and Daisy Berkowitz, the group was originally named Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids with their theatrical performances gathering a local cult following in the early 1990s. The name of the band comes from famous sex symbol Marilyn Monroe and famous criminal Charles Manson. Manson joined these two names together because he wanted a name combined with good (Monroe) and evil (Manson). The other members of the band have their stage names combined with the first names of famous sex symbols and the last names of famous serial killers.

I never liked his music

17 Evanescence Evanescence is an American alternative rock/alternative metal band. It was founded in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1995 by singer/pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody.

Amy Lee's voice is a miracle let alone their entire body of work which is brilliant. They have zero bad songs. Nonsense!

Metal band my ass, soft alternative rock band, people obsessed with this band because a woman is the singer...

Not this either, I always disliked it.

Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan (Drums), their most notable drummer, passed away in 2009, being temporarily replaced by Mike Portnoy, who was replaced by Arin Ilejay, who was finally replaced with Brooks Wackerman. I actually like the Jonas Brothers before I was a teenager.
