Best Animated Batman Movies

The Top Ten
1 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

The only animated Batman film to see release in theaters, this film presented to us an introduction to the Batman and Joker we know today. Not only did it boast great animation, stellar voice acting (who can forget Mark Hamill's iconic Joker laugh?! ), but it gave us above all one of the best Batman stories to date. That and it spawned the incredible animated series. This is my favorite animated Batman movie!

I think this is better than Under the Red Hood. Mark Hamill? I mean come on! This movie is so unforgettable. Put this on number 1.

2 Batman: Under the Red Hood

Such a powerful film. But the fact that it's not even a Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill movie just didn't do well for me. Not saying much, this film is great. Based off the Death in the Family novel. It's great. Jensen Ackles just saved this movie for me. That's awesome.

Really good film. Fantastic plot, very interesting characters, great voice acting, and awesome animation. Also Black Mask finally got a role in Batman film which is a entertaining treat.

The greatest animated superhero flick of all time!

3 Batman: The Killing Joke

I love this movie more than ever. The scene with Batman and Batgirl is unnecessary, but other than that. It was pretty good.

This movie kinda deserves a break of hatred. Yes, the Batgirl side film isn't that great. But the rest is actually what I love

I just saw it. And it was amazing. Yes! This deserves to be number one.

4 Batman: The Dark Knight Returns

I saw parts 1 and 2. Brilliant adaptation, but Batman looks fat. I know this is based off of Frank Miller's classic story, but still. I mean Batman sure is grumpy too, but just too fat. I think this is where the Ben Affleck's Batman came from, but except that his was a little thinner. I mean even though he's fat, the story is so interesting. Go watch it. And yes, I consider this the 4th best Batman Animated Film. That's only my opinion.

This great adaptation of the frank miller classic portrays the great story and its art style matches the tone of the comic perfectly.

5 Batman Beyond - Return of the Joker

Not just a great animated film, but a great film! Great twists and turns, great action, well paced and I love how it connected Batman and Batman Beyond. I show this movie to a lot of people.

This is the Batman Animated Film that should've also been in theaters. I love the story and the animation a lot! This is amazing!

6 The Batman vs Dracula

I didn't like any of the art concept of the Characters and especially the Villains. Joker looks like an Ape

This film was good. The show it's based on is underrated.

7 Batman: Bad Blood

Honestly, this is hands down...the best of the Damian Wayne Trilogy. I suggest you go and see it for yourselves.

The best of the Damian Wayne trilogy.

8 Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders

9 Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero

I'm surprised that this film wasn't already on the list. It was good.

10 Justice League vs. Teen Titans

I did enjoy it. But to be honest, I would like to see more about Damian Wayne's story and being helpful for the Teen Titians. This feels like the best Teen Titians Story ever made. My favorite part is where Damian fought his own granddaddy (aka Ra's Al Ghul) in hell. Brilliant!

I love those teens together! Raven is cute and so is Starfire!

This is one is the best! Or maybe when the Killing Joke will be released

The Contenders
11 Batman: Assault On Arkham

It was alright. But the romanticship between Deadshot and Harley Quinn just made it look bad. Not a good relationship, and it doesn't save the movie at all. But hey it's not that bad. Still. At least Conroy's Batman saved the film. And Troy Baker did well. That's really about it.

12 Batman vs. Two-Face

Even though I haven't seen this one or Return of the Caped Crusaders, I do admit that it brings back the 1960s silliness. I mean that's cool. And even though Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are my favorite Batman and Joker, I'm surprised that they bring back Adam West to do Batman again. I'm so sad that this is his last movie to be Batman before he died. We will miss you Adam West.

This film should be much higher. It's amazing. I love Adam West as Batman. He was the best.

13 Batman vs. Robin
14 Son of Batman

This was so cool! Just the thinking that Batman had a son made me watch it. And Damian impressed me with his fighting skills. Also Talia has a great part! It is a great movie and it should be higher.

This film is not bad. I think this is definitely better than Batman vs. Robin.

I actually like this film. It was cool.

15 Batman Ninja
16 Batman: Year One
17 Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman
18 The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest
19 Justice League: Doom

Good mix of dark tones and light tones. Isn't too scary or too corny.

20 Batman: Gotham by Gaslight
21 Batman: Gotham Knight
22 Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
23 Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
24 Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
25 Batman: Hush
