The Top Ten
  1. The Land Before Time

After his mother is killed by a Sharptooth, Littlefoot, a young Apatosaurus, embarks on a journey to find the Great Valley. Along the way, he befriends other young dinosaurs, and together they face various challenges to reach their new home.

This wonderful, amazing, enjoyable, very entertaining, and super adventurous movie is my all-time number one favorite. I really love this heartfelt movie. It's filled with comedy, friendship, loyalty, and learning things along the way as well.

I absolutely love the theme song, If We Hold On Together, because it's like a lullaby, and it's very beautiful as well. This movie is also about determination, bravery, and most definitely leadership, as well as finding their way to the Great Valley and learning how to work with each other along the way.

I really love Ducky, Cera, Petrie, Spike, and Littlefoot. Cera is the absolute strongest, Petrie is super entertaining, Ducky is very enjoyable, Littlefoot is the leader, and Spike is kindhearted for sure.

  2. The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists

A herd of migrating Longnecks arrives in the Great Valley, bringing news of a land transformed into a mist-covered marsh. When Littlefoot's grandfather falls ill, Littlefoot and his friends venture into the Land of Mists to find the healing Night Flower.

In this movie, Littlefoot learns about family loyalty and gets the opportunity to find the night flowers to help his ill grandfather. He goes to his friends for help finding the night flowers.

This movie is amazing, awesome, super exciting, very entertaining, and most definitely enjoyable as well. It's my all-time number one favorite. Along the way, the friends Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Spike, and Petrie encounter two different villains, Ichy and Dil, and eventually meet a new friend, Ali, a Longneck. This movie is a wonderful must-watch with popcorn for sure.

Of all the sequels, I think this is the only one that was deserving enough to be in theaters. It really came the closest to reaching the level of awesomeness of the original film. With some great new characters, great animation, and an intriguing plot with an interesting new setting, it has the best songs of all the movies. The clear standout is "I Need You Like," sung by the two villains. Icky and Dill are easily the best and most memorable villains of all the Land Before Time movies. Journey Through the Mists should be a classic.

  3. The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure

In the Great Valley, Littlefoot and his friends discover an egg-stealing duo, Ozzy and Strut, and decide to retrieve a stolen egg. Their adventure leads them into the Mysterious Beyond, where they face new dangers and make a surprising discovery.

Of all the sequels, this is the one I remember the most. The best non-sharptooth villains in Ozzie and Strut, the introduction of Chomper, and it has the best and most memorable songs of the series.

I still love this movie even to this day.

First one I saw as a little kid and loved it!

  4. The Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock

A mysterious Longneck named Doc arrives in the Great Valley, leading Littlefoot to believe he is the legendary Lone Dinosaur. When a series of bad luck incidents occur, Littlefoot and his friends set out to find the truth behind the legend of Saurus Rock.

Coolest movie out of the Land Before Time movies ever. I'm not a kid and I still watch this one. If ever someone asks which Land Before Time we should watch, everyone chooses this one.

  5. The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving

A meteorite impacts near the Great Valley, causing a water shortage and leading to conflicts among the dinosaur herds. Littlefoot and his friends set out to find a new water source, encountering challenges and learning about cooperation along the way.

This movie is really amazing, entertaining, very enjoyable, and super cool. It also has Ozzy and Strut and their hilarious song, Eggs. This wonderful, adventure-filled movie is most definitely about learning new things, getting along with each other, and making new friends. It's also a great movie to watch with popcorn anytime.

This is the one I watched the most as a little kid, and therefore, this has to be my favorite. I don't know why, but something about it always stood out to me.

This one is a great example of how a parent treating or talking to their child can be damaging.

  6. The Land Before Time VII: The Stone of Cold Fire

Littlefoot sees a strange flying rock that glows blue, which some believe to be a "Stone of Cold Fire" with magical properties. Petrie's uncle, Pterano, seeks to use the stone's power for his own gain, leading the young dinosaurs on a quest to stop him.

This movie is a wonderful favorite of mine, and the songs are very enjoyable as well. I really love this excellent movie. It's absolutely amazing and most definitely very adventurous. It's also an excellent must-watch movie to enjoy with popcorn.

When I watched this movie, I enjoyed it very much. The movie was about learning new things, and the dinosaur friends learned about the Stone of Cold Fire.

This one probably gets heavily overlooked due to it being the seventh film, but out of all fourteen films, it is actually one of the very few decent sequels. Like the second and third ones, this one stands out as one of the only four LBT movies worth watching.

  7. The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island

A plague of "leaf gobblers" devours the vegetation in the Great Valley, forcing the dinosaurs to leave in search of food. Littlefoot and his friends journey to a mysterious island where they reunite with their old friend Chomper, a young Sharptooth.

Just that fight scene at the end with Chomper's parents and the other sharptooth was a great refresher. It had a happy ending, unlike the fight scene between Littlefoot's mother and the Sharptooth.

What makes this one so memorable is, of course, the return of Chomper.

The ocean crossing was one of the most well-animated scenes ever.

  8. The Land Before Time IX: Journey to Big Water

After heavy rains create a new waterway, Littlefoot befriends Mo, a playful dolphin-like creature. Together with his friends, Littlefoot helps Mo return to the Big Water while evading dangers along the way.

  9. The Land Before Time X: The Great Longneck Migration

Littlefoot and his grandparents join a migration of Longnecks after Littlefoot has a mysterious dream. During the journey, Littlefoot meets his estranged father and must choose between staying with him or returning to the Great Valley.

It took them a while, but they finally introduced Littlefoot's dad. I was waiting for this one.

  10. The Land Before Time VIII: The Big Freeze

An unexpected snowstorm hits the Great Valley, causing food shortages and prompting some dinosaurs to consider migration. When Spike joins a wandering Stegosaurus herd, Ducky and the others set out to bring him back.

This is a wonderful favorite of mine. The Great Valley is snow-filled and adventure-filled, and the movie is most definitely family-friendly. The music is very enjoyable for sure, and the movie is also about learning new skills and friendship.

Littlefoot is excellent in this movie, Cera is the leader, Petrie is very enjoyable, and Spike is very playful. Ducky is the absolute favorite swimmer, and she learns about family loyalty for sure.

The song about what everyone needs is true and can be felt deeply.

  11. The Newcomers
  12. ?

The Land Before Time XIII: The Wisdom of Friends

Littlefoot and his friends meet Loofah and Doofah, two Yellow-Bellies who are lost and searching for their herd. The group helps the clueless duo while learning important lessons about friendship and wisdom.

  13. ?

The Land Before Time XI: Invasion of the Tinysauruses

When Littlefoot accidentally awakens a hidden colony of tiny dinosaurs, they invade the Great Valley in search of food. Despite initial conflicts, the larger dinosaurs learn valuable lessons about acceptance and working together.

  14. The Contenders
  15. The Land Before Time XIV: Journey of the Brave

Littlefoot and his friends embark on a daring journey to find his father, who has gone missing during an expedition. Along the way, they encounter new friends and overcome a series of challenges to reunite their family.

This one is definitely the best! I don't call it pointless. People who do are just a bunch of haters. True TLBT fans love every movie! (Of course, I found The Wisdom of Friends and Invasion of the Tinysauruses very boring, but I still prefer them existing rather than not existing.)

  16. The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers

As the Great Day of the Flyers approaches, Petrie struggles to master his flying skills and coordinate with others. His challenges intensify when a new dinosaur named Guido arrives, sparking an adventure to understand themselves and each other.

    1. Lots of flying.

    2. Awesome traditional animation.

    3. Guido the Microraptor.

    4. The Spinosaurus (Spinosaurus is much more dangerous than the Tyrannosaurus Rex).

    5. Cera has a new baby sister (though I am NOT happy that she is pink!).
