Best Monster High Movies

The Top Ten
1 Monster High: Ghouls Rule

I love this movie because it shows that anyone can get along! Frankie is always trying to stay on the positive side, and the girl who tried to look bad but really liked all monsters and humans was such a great character. I also loved all the teamwork to try not to get anyone framed.

This one's my favorite. It shows a ton of the characters and really helps you get to know them and their relationships with each other. There are also so many awesome Abbey moments!

It's an amazing movie! Since it was one of the first movies, it wasn't overloaded with useless new characters or an awful plot, and it also has a great moral!

I might be a little biased since it was the very first Monster High movie I saw back in 2012, and Jackson is the best, but still, it's a great movie.

2 Monster High: 13 Wishes

I love this movie, and I think it has a great message: don't let others influence you because it might turn out bad. I love how everyone was happy in the end and even got to add a new monster!

I like the way they incorporated an Aladdin-type story, and the shadows were unlike anything we've seen before!

This is the best genie concept ever! How wonderful that Whisp has moved to the side of good!

How could anyone not like this movie? The concept is so unique!

3 Monster High: Boo York, Boo York

How is this only 4th? All the songs are amazing and are even better than most of what they play on the radio! Not to mention, it doesn't star Frankie! Catty Noir's voice makes me so jealous!

We also get a sneak peek into Nefera and Cleo's family, which is much more in-depth than in other movies. Go Cleo! This movie was so good and is by far my favorite of all time. The music is so well written, it rivals Hamilton, which is impressive for what is usually considered a cheesy genre. I am so proud of Monster High.

When I heard they were making a musical, I was ready to cover my ears. But Catty is amazing, and so are all the ghouls! This was such a deep and meaningful movie that brought me back to Monster High after I had started drifting away. Sadly, Monster High went downhill after that.

4 Monster High: Haunted

I love this movie! There's also a bunch of teamwork and suspense. I love how they revealed that the chains were only there because of her, and they got her to change in a good way!

It's so funny that Frankie was only there for like a minute! I love how they got to go to the ghost world and everyone helped! And we really got to meet a bunch of new characters!

I have to admit, I've lost count of how many times I've watched this movie in class when I'm bored. Porter is an amazing character, and the plot twist at the end was so well done, but still unexpected!

5 Why Do Ghouls Fall in Love?

A simple story can sometimes be better and more fleshed out. It gives you the "high school" feel throughout the whole thing and doesn't try to make itself too confusing with plot holes, etc.

This is the most "Monster High" out of them all - it perfectly captures the essence of the doll line. Also, what's with the Frankie hate on here? She's the best character.

I had this in the double feature DVD with Friday Night Frights. It's in my basement at the moment, and it's a great movie. I love the Claude and Draculaura couple - they're perfect for each other.

It's so good, and it's the very first CGI movie they made. Dare I say it's better than the later films.

6 Monster High: Friday Night Frights

I love this movie! It's about teamwork and shows that even if you're a girl, you can do something a boy can do! I also love that Draculaura won in the end, but didn't even get to play on the next team.

The guys who didn't think the girls could win were totally wrong - it was so funny to see their reactions. Frankie is so caring and didn't take their crest just to help them! And it was hilarious how Draculaura was more upset about the werewolf than his sister!

Why didn't they put Abbey on the final team? They really should have! She has the best powers out of everyone and deserves more attention. At least she was in the movie.

7 Monster High: Scaris, City of Frights

Best one ever! It has a more drawn-out and involved storyline. It actually feels like a movie.

It's so amazing. The story is super entertaining, and the outfits are stunning.

8 Monster High: Frights, Camera, Action!

Very underrated! The denouement was very unexpected for me.

9 Monster High: Freaky Fusion

The ending is very cute! The hybrids have found their place - it's so good.

10 Monster High: Fright On!

This movie could have been the best one if it had been longer. I thought it was similar to West Side Story, which I loved. Abbey's first movie appearance was a good one, and Frankie and Lagoona were so smart.

Cleo's obsession with "winning" against Gory, and her taking Ghoulia's drinks, was so funny!

The Contenders
11 Monster High: Escape From Skull Shores

This one was great! I love their teamwork, and how Lagoona's boyfriend really stepped up in the end - it was kind of a surprise. I also love that the guy with the mask opened up and found people like him. The purple monster got to stay at Monster High, and the man got what he deserved!

I loved how the ice girl (sorry, I'm forgetting everyone's names) froze the little guys and made them apologize and help!

12 Monster High: Great Scarrier Reef

I love how my favorite character, Clawdeen, appears so many times in this, and it's even from her point of view! I wish they would make more Clawdeen movies.

This is probably the best movie focusing on mermaids.

13 Monster High: Welcome to Monster High

This was a great first movie with Draculaura helping everyone find new friends! They made a school and somehow found a bunch of other people to come! Even the zombie girl and the cat girl got accepted! I loved Cleo's personality when she was found!
