Transformers
Released in 2007, Transformers was directed by Michael Bay and marked the beginning of the live-action film series based on Hasbro's toy line. The movie centers on a war between two factions of alien robots, the Autobots and the Decepticons, who bring their conflict to Earth. It stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, with voice performances by Peter Cullen and Hugo Weaving.
The only movie in the series (until Age of Extinction) to actually care about the transformations themselves. I mean, isn't that the number one thing that makes a live-action Transformers movie worth it?
Though this movie is the best of the franchise, it is still nothing compared to other Transformers shows such as Prime and Beast Wars.
This movie is downright iconic. This is easily my favorite movie of all time.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Transformers: Dark of the Moon premiered in 2011 as the third installment in the series directed by Michael Bay. The film's plot involves the Autobots discovering a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, leading to a race against the Decepticons to control its secrets. It was the first Transformers film shot in 3D and featured the final appearance of Shia LaBeouf as the lead character.
It's not brilliant, but it's certainly better than Revenge of the Fallen. At least the racism has been toned down considerably. Plus, it features the late, great Leonard Nimoy.
Probably the best out of Bay's Transformer movies...
I wanted to see it as number 1 because it's the best.

Transformers: Age of Extinction
Released in 2014, Transformers: Age of Extinction introduced a new human cast led by Mark Wahlberg. The story follows inventor Cade Yeager as he discovers Optimus Prime while a government agency hunts remaining Transformers after the events of the previous film. It also introduced the Dinobots to the live-action franchise.
While Age of Extinction has received the worst overall reviews of the series, I argue that the sins of the series' past have led to critics expecting the worst and ignoring the positives. I know for a fact that long-term fans of the franchise mostly approved of this one.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, released in 2009, is the second film in the series. The story follows Sam Witwicky as he becomes entangled in another battle between Autobots and Decepticons after discovering hidden symbols linked to the ancient Transformer known as The Fallen. The film was shot across multiple global locations, including Egypt and Jordan.
Revenge of the Fallen is sooo underrated. I think people pay way too much attention to the side crap instead of the actual plot. This movie is my favorite because, in my opinion, it has the most named Decepticons, which I love.
Plus, The Fallen is WAY cool, and Megatron turns into a Cybertronian flying tank and has a right hand that transforms into a fusion cannon!
P.S. Mudflap and Skids are NOT racist!
This movie is pretty much watchable exclusively for its action scenes. On every other scale, it earns a 2 out of 10, or less.

Transformers: The Last Knight
Premiering in 2017, Transformers: The Last Knight was Michael Bay's fifth and final film in the franchise. The movie explores the long history between Transformers and humanity, connecting the robots to events in medieval and World War II eras. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, and Laura Haddock.
