People can say whatever they want about a shock performer, but that only fuels their fire. Shock performance is about provoking strong emotions, often hatred and disgust. If he wanted to please parents, he wouldn't have gone into the entertainment industry.

My parents hate him, and I love him. I won't buy any of his actual CDs because I know my parents would forbid it. I buy them from iTunes instead.

It's a shame that Antichrist Superstar isn't sold on iTunes in Canada.

It's good that parents hate him. That's what he wants. Fear and hatred make him who he is, and he has some incredible music. So, I can't thank those against him enough.

I know I sound rude for saying this, but the parents who think that all rock/heavy metal bands are bad influences should go to hell. That's an opinion I will not tolerate. I've been listening to rock and metal my whole life, and nothing bad has ever happened to me. There are some rock/metal bands that are really good role models. In fact, some rock and metal can even prevent suicide and murder because many songs tell people they aren't the only ones feeling angry in the world.

Haha, my parents hate Slipknot. They find the masks overly eerie and can't relate to the music. Sucks to be them though. They're missing out.
