Top Ten Best Albums of 1982

The Top Ten
Thriller - Michael Jackson

Greatest album of all time.

Biggest selling album of all time.

Winner of 8 Grammys.

By the greatest entertainer of all time, Michael Jackson.

Thriller and Billie Jean are brilliant songs!

Best album of all time!

The Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden

This should be way higher. This deserves to be at least #5.

The best album ever, apart from Bruce Springsteen's Born in the U.S.A.

Hot Space - Queen

Often viewed narrow-mindedly as the band's worst studio album. This is mainly due, I feel, to it being a radical departure into synthesizer pop after a decade of heavy rock.

They subsequently returned to their rock roots on the following album, The Works, and when you listen to Hot Space now, it's wonderful how alive Freddie's voice sounds. It also contains one of the best bass riffs ever in "Under Pressure." I really like this album... a lot.

Rio - Duran Duran
Pornography - The Cure
Screaming for Vengeance - Judas Priest
Combat Rock - The Clash
The Dreaming - Kate Bush

Experimental and very unusual, but still awesome.

Signals - Rush
It's Hard - The Who

The Newcomers

? Borrowed Time - Diamond Head
? The Rise & Fall - Madness
The Contenders
Blackout - Scorpions

One of their best albums! Songs like "Blackout" or "Dynamite" are pure energy, and "When the Smoke Is Going Down" is an amazing ballad.

Come on. Just number 10, really?
