Top 10 Best Avril Lavigne Albums
Avril Lavigne has been one of pop-punk's most iconic voices since she first burst onto the scene in the early 2000s, giving us hits that still get us singing along at the top of our lungs. Her music has defined an era of rebellious, unapologetic rock for so many fans, and each of her albums has its own personality, exploring themes from heartbreak and self-discovery to confidence and fun. When it comes to choosing the top Avril albums, it's not just about the hits - it's also about which records gave us the most unforgettable lyrics, the catchiest hooks, and the rawest emotion.
I was so ecstatic when I saw this was at the top. It has so many songs that are so true. Songs like He Wasn't, Freak Out, and How Does It Feel are like my life! I really recommend them.
Nobody's Home can be a very depressing song, but if you're having a rough day or life, it can make you feel like you're not alone.
"Under My Skin" is my diary. It will always remain one of my favorite records. I wish Avril made more songs similar to the ones in this record, such as "Take Me Away," "My Happy Ending," and "Forgotten."
10 out of 10.
Her greatest album in the 2000s. In this album, her songs were very different from the other albums because of very deep and sad songs like My Happy Ending, Don't Tell Me, Nobody's Home, and Together.
That's why this album should be #1.
Even though it's her debut album and usually debut albums aren't that good, this is her best album, I think. All her other albums have swears. This is the only clean album of hers. Under My Skin is too gothic, The Best Damn Thing is too girly, and Goodbye Lullaby and Avril Lavigne are too pop-ish.
Let Go is punk-pop, girly-ish, tomboy-ish, and a little bit of everything, plus clean and fun and relatable. I love Losing Grip (such an underrated song), Unwanted (also underrated), and Complicated!
Best album. Usually, the first is the worst for singers because they've never made an album before and don't have any experience in what people like and what stuff to put in the album, but this is one of the times where the first was the best.
I love all of these songs. Under My Skin, The Best Damn Thing, Goodbye Lullaby, and Avril Lavigne are great, but this is definitely her BEST.
This album works as a whole: the tunes, the energy, the style. It's the most coherent album, musically.
Perfect balance of hits (Girlfriend, Runaway, The Best Damn Thing, and Hot) with catchy punk rock songs (I Can Do Better, Contagious, and Keep Holding On). It brings you energy and joy.
I say The Best Damn Thing because it's the most amazing album about hating and loving guys. Though my favorite song is Sk8er Boi, I still think The Best Damn Thing is the best, especially because of her hit Girlfriend.
"Hot" is her best song, so this is her best album. Also, "Innocence," "Girlfriend," "Contagious," "The Best Damn Thing," and "Keep Holding On" are very good too.
Goodbye Lullaby is a close second to Let Go. This is an album to be listened to in order and not just picked through. She poured her heart into this album, and it's the perfect middle-of-the-road cocktail that mixes the best of old-style Avril in tracks like Darlin and Black Star, in sharp contrast to new-school pop hits like Smile and What the Hell.
As for my favorite track, Darlin is worth the entire price of the album on its own. If I didn't have nostalgia for Let Go, this would be my favorite album. All in all, a very solid LP for the money, and it's more of the Avril we've grown to love.
This is the best album. There are so many meanings in the songs. It's like a version of every album. This is the best album yet.
You can really relate to the lyrics. She slays so hard. Avril is the best!
This album represents the true Avril, way before she surrendered to the record labels and made commercial music.
Not that the album is not commercial, as some of the songs are really catchy and simple, but it has some honesty and magic to it. I think that some songs, like I Don't Give and Headset, are brilliant and better than many of her hits and album tracks.
Maybe it's not her best album, but it's still a worthy one and much better than her albums from The Best Damn Thing until her self-titled album. I would give it 7.5/10 because you can hear that she is still young and needs some work to be done, but her songs were good lyrically and musically at this point.
The new one! Cool to see Avril making new music.
