   This song speaks to me. Whether it's spiritually, emotionally, or religiously, this song will always hold a special place in my heart. I've discovered so many things through this song. It's not even funny.

   This is just a crazy awesome song! This song has meaning to it and has a catchy tune! Switchfoot is one of the best bands out there. I can't believe they haven't gone big-time by now! They are SO much better than that Bieber crap you hear on the radio!

2. Meant to Live

   

   Amazing use of the instrumentals in the beginning, then lets the vocals in the first verse stand alone without much music, allowing the lyrics to ring unopposed. Immediately after, the instruments regain their position. The mesh that the instruments have in the chorus with the vocals is further augmented by the fact that it is the first time in the song that they meet, and they sound amazing.

   The riffs are great, as well as the drums. All in all, a great song.

   This song had me loving it the first time I heard it! This is something I would ask myself when I ventured off and ended up in places I'd normally say I'd NEVER be caught in. There were times in my life when I had to stop, look around, and think, "Is this me? Is this who I want to be portrayed as?"

   This song was "a sign" to me because of its coincidental timing. It is powerful, uplifting, and strengthening!

   This song is simply beautiful. There is nothing else to say. It rings true in my heart because there are days when I don't feel like myself anymore. Beautiful!

   This has the most epic guitar riffs ever. Fun to play, great lyrics, and the verses are catchy. Vote for Stars!

   This is my favorite song, and the lyrics are also beautiful. This song was the music theme of Royal Rumble 2012, making its 25th anniversary a cool celebration.

   Dark Horses is the BEST song by Switchfoot, and Meant to Live. This is my second favorite band. Skillet is my first. My best friend, Jack Ryan, and I praise these guys!

   This should be number one. The beat is so catchy. Vote for this! Meant to Live is another really good song by them! Vote for Dark Horses. The gods!

   It's Awakening or Where I Belong for me. Two great songs out of a long, amazing list of songs by Switchfoot.

   Awesome. It's not really fair to put this at the bottom. It deserves 3rd position.

   Just sounds awesome. The lyrics sound great too.

   Are you all kidding me? This is their best song, no second thoughts on that. This song is not just a good Switchfoot song. It is a great song by any standard.

   This song got me hooked to Switchfoot to a point that even if they make Justin Bieber-type songs, I will still love them like hell! Switchfoot rocks.

   How are you doing? This song is the best ever. If anyone who has logged into this page hasn't heard this song, it's my earnest request that you do.

   Dare You to Move and the others which are up there, you won't feel the need to listen to them ever after hearing this landmark of a song.

   This song is inspiring and one of the best Switchfoot songs of all time! It deserves at least 2nd place but really should be in 1st!

   I was a bit astonished when I saw this song wasn't on The Best Yet. Such a great, catchy song with deeper meaning in the lyrics. They play this song even better live!

    Never seen the movie, but honestly, I find it very hard to connect the lyrics to any human relationship. Instead, these lyrics beautifully describe one's relationship with God.

    For example: "I find peace when I'm confused, I find hope when I'm let down. Not in me. In You, it's in you. I hope to lose myself for good, I hope to find it in the end. Not in me. In You."

    No human being can ever be that good. No one except Jesus Christ. No other person can ever be worth "losing" your own life and "finding it" in that other one. Comparing this song to human relations just because it was used in a romantic movie soundtrack doesn't change the original purpose of the lyrics. I'd like to believe that the writer originally pointed his lyrics to God, not to man/woman. It would make a lot of sense that way.

    Personally, I've been touched by the lyrics in just that way. To point those lyrics to some woman or man (other than Jesus) would just be naive teenage nonsense. I'm saying this as my honest opinion. I apologize for my straightforward language here, but I only want to make my point clear.

    It also makes sense in Biblical terms to "lose" your own life and to find true life in Christ Jesus. Well, it wasn't my intention to "preach" here, just honestly describe how this song touched me. And it did so deeply.

    This song definitely reflects their Christian faith and message of an examined life. Even more, its slower tempo brings out some great vocals and a powerful crescendo in the chorus after the third verse.

    I think this should be one of the best songs by Switchfoot. This song means so much to me. It just says everything. If you're ever interested in Switchfoot's music, you should listen to this song.
