Big Bang should be number one if we are talking about the best boy band in the K-pop world. Big Bang is very different and unique in their style of music. All of their songs are best-selling hits. They have won many awards, even outside of Korea.
For me, they are number one in influencing the youth, which includes the new generation of Korean boy groups gaining more attention, like BTS (don't believe me? Search), Got7, and many more groups that admire them.
They have created the foundation of Korean music and are very successful.
Super Junior is a South Korean boy band. Formed in 2005 by producer Lee Soo-man of S.M. Entertainment, the group comprised a total of thirteen members at its peak. I'm an ELF from India. I don't know if SuJu sees this website and reads our comments, but I want to say that even though young bands are coming to the forefront, Super Junior never fails to hit the mark. They are still number one with the same love from fans.
They're globally popular, very handsome, and very talented. Lee Teuk is one of the reasons why SuJu is loved. No wonder they are role models.

They have performed on talent shows and are the most well-known K-pop group internationally.
Exo is a South Korean-Chinese boy group based in Seoul. Formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011, the group debuted in 2012 with twelve members separated into two subgroups, EXO-K and EXO-M, performing music in Korean and Mandarin, respectively. They are amazing and awesome! I love all of them! Especially D.O. He's the cutest among the cutest. Their group is also cute and talented. Their song was absolutely fantastic and popular!
